Silk Oil of Morocco is a networking business. Although you will personally know your initial Hosts, the guests they will invite will enable you to extend your network and contact list.

Ensure that you choose a “good mix” for your initial Silk Showcases. This combined with effective Host Coaching (see Host Coaching section) will ensure that you will have many opportunities to book more Silk Showcases outside of your personal circle.

Write a list of every one that you know. Include friends, relatives, col-leagues, acquaintances, in fact everyone you can think of.

The more potential Hosts that you contact, the more potential you will have to extend your networks and grow your business. Remember not to decide their level of interest for them. Simply work on your approach.

The sooner you contact your prospective hostesses the more successful you will be. Remember to be excited about your new business venture as this will then be reflected in the women that you approach.

STEP 1: Make a list of all of the people that you know. Include relatives, friends, workmates, acquaintances, in fact everyone you can think of!It pays to contact a variety of host as they are a crucial part to the success of your business.

STEP 2: With your monthly planner in front of you, phone everyone on your list and make your bookings.

Remember no date means, no Showcase!

STEP 3: Where you get the opportunity to show your Silk samples, do so. Nothing invites excitement in your hostesses more than experiencing the products!

Read over the section “Getting to know your Host Rewards.” Also familiarize yourself with the Product catalogue, especially the introduction to each product range. Being prepared for possible questions and objections is essential to your success.

Make a date, even if it is just a tentative date initially. Let your host know which dates are available to her. Take control. For example you would say…

“I am making bookings between xx/xx/xx and xx/xx/xx. Which day or evening would suit you best?”

Book your closer dates first and then move onto the later ones. Let your host-ess know what is in it for her.

Because you generally know your initial hosts... you can suggest who they could invite also.

HOSTESS REWARD VOUCHERSBased on sales and bookings made at your Showcase, your Host will be eligible for further rewards.

Based on the sales value of the Showcase, the Host will receive a voucher of $25, $50, $75, $100, $125, or $150 for each booking made up to a maximum of three vouchers. (Refer to Host Rewards Brochure.)

Each voucher is redeemable at the relevant booking provided the sales minimum of $250 retail value (not including Host rewards) is reached. Only ONE voucher is redeemable per Showcase order.

Encourage your future Host to book within 21 days of the current Showcase as this will ensure that she remains excited and enthusiastic about her forthcoming Show-case.

COST OF HOST VOUCHERSEach Host voucher is available to you to purchase at a cost to you of 20% of the value of each voucher for example $50 Host reward voucher will be a cost to your business of $10. The Host vouchers are available to purchase under the SILK SHOP > CONSULTANT ONLY

STEP 1: Complete the Host Rewards Brochure

A successful Silk Showcase is a result of the relationship between the Host and the Consultant.

It is essential for your Host to know what is expected of her and what rewards she is working towards.

The purpose of Host Coaching is to ensure that you have formed a comfort-able relationship with the Host and that you have the right type and number of guests to work with. This will enable you to work together as a team for a rewarding outcome for both yourself and the Host.

Host coaching is an essential part of your Business. Every Host deserves to hold a successful Showcase. It is your responsibility to assist your Host to achieve this.

Ensure that you complete the Host Rewards Brochure completely with the Silk Showcase Date and Time, the goal of what your Host is aiming to achieve in terms of discounted and Free Silk Products (in the Your Product Selection area) and the sales and bookings goal. Aim high. I would suggest you always write $1300 in the sales area and 2-3 bookings in the Showcase Bookings area.Advise your Host that if someone is unable to attend and would like to expe-rience Silk Oil of Morocco Products that she record their name and phone number in the area provided for this.

Go over the list of suggestions on How to host a successful Silk Showcase.

Be sure to mention that although we suggest 8 – 10 guests who love cosmet-ics, Skincare and Haircare to be in attendance. We will still accommodate smaller numbers in the event that this happens. It is important for you to facili-tate the Silk Showcase even when the guest numbers are lower as the poten-tial for new Consultants, further bookings and sales will still be available to you.Suggest to your Host that she invite twice as many as she would like to attend as this will cover the inevitable event that someone cannot make it to the Silk Showcase.

Once you have made and confirmed the booking it is essential to perform the following steps.

Encourage your Hostess to assist you with securing bookings from her friends, especially if someone is not able to attend. Remind her also that she needs to remind everyone a day or so before the party as we all have a tendency to forget and her friends will appreciate the reminder as they won’t want to miss out! Let your Host know that payment is required with each guests order. Let her know that you accept payments through Pay Pal.

Put your Host at ease by letting her know that over and above everything else, this must be a fun experience for her and together you will ensure that it will be.

Depending on the time between the present and the actual Silk Showcase will establish how many calls you will make between now and the Showcase.

The closer the Silk Showcase is the better, this is important to remember when you are making the bookings. Your Host will be easier to keep motivated and enthusiastic if she has been booked in close.

This can be handwritten or computer generated whichever you prefer, but definitely give it a personal touch.

This should be sent within two days of making the booking. (You can purchase pre made cards from head office also)

A phone call to confirm your Host has received your card/letter and to go over the information that is covered.

Keep encouraging your Host.

This will come from either you to her or her to you!When you make the call to her on the day before or day of the Showcase you are confirming that you will be arriving at a certain time and finalizing any directions of how to get to her house.

When the phone call comes from her to you it may be to say she only has a few people coming. You must encourage her to continue to go ahead with the Showcase.

Help your Host Relax and get her excited.

Remind her about the products that she is going to earn from tonight.

Encourage her to stay in the same room as the Showcase presentation and to do the same with the refreshments. Let her know that it is best not to put the kettle on until everyone has placed their order. Where she goes the Showcase will go!

Ask her how many guests she is expecting and if there was anyone who wasn’t able to attend that she had spoken to about hosting their own Silk Showcase.Encourage her to get involved when the formal part of the Showcase presentation is finished by being enthusiastic and helping her friends to choose products for themselves.

Don’t forget to ask her if she has ever considered taking up the Silk Oil of Morocco Business opportunity herself.

Then smile, relax and enjoy the Silk Showcase.

WHAT DO I SAY TO MY HOST WHEN I AM COACHING THEM?

• Make sure you always speak in positive terms about the Showcase… “I am really looking forward to your Showcase this Thursday”• Ask her how her inviting is going• Remind her to ask her friends to bring their friends• Remind her to keep inviting people right up to the last minute to allow for those who end up not being able to attend on the night/day• Remind her to keep the refreshments light and in the same room as the Showcase presentation so that she can relax and enjoy the Showcase also• Remind her that if someone cannot attend she should suggest that they host a Silk Showcase of their own• Ask her whether or not she has considered becoming a Silk Oil of Morocco Consultant herself• Ask her if she knows of anyone who may be looking for work and could be interested in the Silk Oil of Morocco opportunity• In the nicest possible way impress upon her how important it is that she holds her Silk Showcase on the original date scheduled.• If there are Host Reward Vouchers involved, talk about how...Will be looking forward to redeeming her voucher at her Showcase• Smile while you are speaking to her as it will come through in the tone of your voice

Effective and consistent Host coaching will ensure that you have a business that runs smoothly and with ever increasing success. Host coaching lays the foundation or sets the scene for a successful and profitable outcome.

The success of your Silk Showcase presentation starts with being prepared.

Silk Oil of Morocco encourages our Consultants to wear black clothing. This sets you apart from the guests, looks professional and is the perfect back drop to show off the Products.

Please ensure that you wear your Silk Consultant Scarf or tie. Silk branded transfers are available to purchase under the SILK SHOP > CONSULTANT ONLYEnsure that you take extra care with your personal presentation, right down to your shoes and stockings. You never know when you may be required to remove your shoes and it’s always good business etiquette to check to see if shoes inside are okay.

Wear Cosmetics and ensure you have clean tidy nails, as your hands will be clearly visible when you are presenting our Silk Products.

Ensure that all cosmetics that you wear are Silk Oil of Morocco products and current stock and colours. Choose colours that are perfect for you and that people will comment on. You will often sell what you are wearing so consider this carefully. It is tempting sometimes to use products for example Lipstick colours, that are no longer available however there is no reward in advertising something you are unable to provide.

Put on your “Showcase attitude” which is happy, friendly and confident. Remain calm and be sure not to wear your heart on your sleeve when things aren’t going as planned!

Personal Presentation

Your kit is your store so ensure that it is clean and tidy.

Invest in accessories such as disposable applicators, cotton pads, tissues and baby wipes to assist with your Showcase.

Check your stationery stock and ensure that you have both stationery that is both current and well, stocked.

Take a calculator and a mirror with you.

Check the stock availability on the Silk Oil of Morocco website to avoid disap-pointed customers.

NG To ensure you have a professional display it can be a good idea to invest in a

few items to assist you with this.

Card Table – This allows you to position yourself well and to leave the Host table/coffee table free for any refreshments, which also means they are kept in the same room as the Silk Showcase.

Halogen Lamp – This is sometimes necessary as a lot of homes have subdued lighting which makes viewing the Products more difficult.

Mirror – Not all hostesses will have a detachable mirror that can be re positioned in the same room as the Showcase. It is beneficial to you to both you and your guests to be able to view themselves in the colour samples they are trying. About A4 paper size or slightly larger is good.

From time to time Silk Oil of Morocco offer incentives to earn presentation accessories. These include Mirrors, Lipstick Stands, Silk Tree Stands, etc.Try not to be tempted to add accessories to your table that take the focus off the product that you are selling.

When you arrive at the Showcase set up your display table.

It is a good idea to use a black base cloth. Use acrylic risers or other objects to make different levels to place the products on. Then drape your satin cloth over the top.

A successful Silk Showcase is one where you educate, entice and entertain.

Always handle your samples with care and pride.

Women enjoy our Silk Showcases because they are informative, fun and they are not made to feel obligated to purchase, or book further Showcases.

You will find that Women will respond to this relaxed approach and soon you will hear comments such as “I wasn’t going to buy, but I really love this product so I think I shall treat myself.” Or “I’ve really had fun tonight I think I will host a Showcase too as I have lots of friends who would really enjoy it!”

Working the Showcase

Once you have completed the formal part of your presentation your Host and her guests will have the opportunity to try different products and then to place their orders. Make yourself available to answer further questions and hold the mirror when required!

During this time you can speak to each of the guests about hosting a Showcase of their own, or about looking into our business opportunity as the opportunities arise

• Stay with the table• Take note of what your guests are interested in, especially in the first instance as this will likely be the product they were drawn to during the presentation. • Encourage the guests to try the Silk Products• Make suggestions of what products work well together• Be confident when talking about prices. Silk Oil of Morocco is excellent value for money and you can also suggest the Host discount prices. Mention the customer special.

Once the first order is taken you will find that others will follow.Always offer the specials and the opportunity to host a Silk Showcase.In order to bring the shopping to a close it may be necessary to confidently step in and help people decide.

You can do this by asking “Can I help anyone with anything?” This will help bring people to a decision or a little more direct “Can I help anyone with any prices?”You can help indecisive customers, who WILL appreciate your help by asking them if they looking for anything special or in particular. Or what products have you typically used?

If they are deciding between several items don’t be afraid to suggest they buy some tonight and then host a Showcase to earn the other products.

You can “up sell” by suggesting other Products or promote the specials.Remember to give your guests a little space when you feel they need it. Come back in a few minutes to see how they have got on.

NG As your customers are trying the products it is good practice to mark the

products they like on their pricelist. Write their full name on it and that way you can help them work out the best value way to buy them.

Read over the next section on completing the paperwork.

Host Purchases

Always expect your Host to order. Encourage her to place her order first or at the very least mark the items that she would like.

When you are finalizing the Showcase sales and bookings you can work with her to see which way she would like to make her purchases. Remember that when your Host purchases all of the products she would like on the night she will find other products to spend her Host Reward Vouchers on at the next Showcase.

Her purchases excluding her Host Only Purchases go toward the sales total that determines the value of her reward vouchers for the future bookings made.

Closing the Showcase

It’s great to let the guests know how the Showcase has gone and what rewards the Host has earned. It can help with further bookings too. It can help with the expectations of the future Hosts too in terms of what they would like to achieve at their Showcase.

Initiate the Host coaching procedure with the Hosts that you have booked. Fill out a Host Rewards Brochure and go over the “Steps to hosting a successful Showcase.” Let your new Host know that you will be sending her a confirmation letter within a day or so and that you will be in touch.

Make time to initiate sharing the Business Opportunity one on one and make appointments to discuss this in more detail with interested guests

After the Showcase

Always pack up your kit ready to present at your next Silk Showcase.

It’s a good idea to take your time with this and handle your samples with care. It encourages the guests to chat to you about what you do and is often the time that your guests will express their interest in the Business Opportunity.

Try to complete your Showcase from start to finish within two and a half hours. This can encourage guests to book more easily if it is not seen to be a late night.

Silk was originally distributed though Hair Salons and distributors however towards the end of last year Shirley and Peter Piscina decided they wanted to share more of their business with others and have embarked on a new Silk adventure…the Silk Oil of Morocco business opportunity. So Silk Oil of Morocco was born over 5 years ago when Silk co-founder, Shirley Pisci-na discovered the magic ingredient Moroccan Argan Oil. Afflicted by an annoying skin condition a chemist friend of Shirleys developed a recipe that he was sure would soothe and correct this condition. A little bottle of Moroccan Argan Hair and Skin serum become the catalyst for the beautiful range of products that would follow. 5 years on and Silk Oil of Morocco are proud to have created over 160 beautiful prod-ucts all infused with Organic Moroccan Argan Oil and growing in popularity by the hour.

Steadily the haircare range grew to encompass a range of Shampoos, conditioners, and treatments. All are of Salon quality and great value for money.

Soon followed a gorgeous range of skin, cosmetics and body products that are pack-aged with a sophistication that would make anyone proud to have on display in their bathroom or powder room.

GDepending on the theme you have chosen for your showcase will determine which products you will present and explain.

Familiarise yourself with the product info section. There is a section on each category – hair, skin, body and cosmetics.

Basically as you present you use a show/commercial theme. Present Product – speak commercial

I would suggest that you speak about 5 – 6 Products or regimens and intermittently have a commercial break with the following suggestions

Commercials include:

“There are several ways that you can own our products. The first is obvious and we have already mentioned this earlier that is placing an order here to-night. All of your products will be delivered to your Host for you to collect.“The second way is a little less obvious but great when there are lots of prod-ucts you would like to try and that is by hosting a Showcase of your own” “We have a selection of Host only Packs that you will achieve on the day or night of your Showcase and then based on the sales and bookings made from your showcase you will be rewarded with vouchers that are redeemable against purchases of your choice. Complete the Host Reward Vouchers based on your Silk Showcase result and present them to your Host.

Please point out the conditions for redemption of the vouchers.

For Example: Showcase sales must exceed $250 to validate the voucher.
