Wastewater/
Effluent Treatment Sustaining Our Eco-systems
While the world continues to search for more advanced and cost-
effective water treatment technologies to salvage the scarcity of
clean water supply, water pollution remains ironically a
continuing threat to deprive the world of clean water resources.
Apart from the harms from natural disasters such as volcano
eruptions, earth quakes etc that contributes to contamination of
water, the advancing global economy and exploding human
population would continue to be the main factors polluting our
scarce sources of fresh water supply.
Water pollution remains a serious problem for the entire world.
It threatens the health and well being of humans, plants, animals
and the overall balance of our eco-systems.
As the world becomes more industrialized, accidental and
purposeful hazardous and waste dumping have been one of the
worst water pollution concerns.
Controlling and managing residential, commercial and industrial
wastewater/effluent at the points of use is one of the most
responsible and economical ways towards sustaining the balance
of our eco-systems, where water management is concerned.
There are numerous proven wastewater/effluent treatment
technologies, processes and systems available worldwide these
days, it is relatively a small cost to control and manage such at
individual points of use, than to pay an infinite price trying to
heal our earth collectively some day in the future.
Eco-protection SystemsMATTEN’s Range of Wastewater/Effluent Treatment Systems
3/12
Apart from various ranges of water purification systems, MATTEN
has developed a series of wastewater/effluent treatment systems
for varying industrial applications, as well as for storm water run-
off/silt water control and management purposes (particularly
suitable for construction and infrastructure project sites).
These systems are designed and manufactured in-house. Their
standard, modular and compact configurations are exceptionally
suitable for small-to-medium capacity usage in factories and
industrial processing premises.
Our systems are designed to treat wastewater/effluent in
compliance with international effluent discharge standards. For
more demanding and stringent applications, we are able to custom-
design-and-build the systems for our clients’ specific requirements.

…bringing simplicity into
wastewater/effluent treatment…
The new M●ECO-BTP series is a range of complete fully
automatic batch treatment plants for most industrial
effluents where dissolved solids are precipitated by
settlement and de-watered using filter press.
The basic process is fill treat de-sludge (de-
watered) decant.
The M●ECO-BTP series comes in standard HM (Heavy
Metal) version, CR (Chrome Reduction) or CN (Cyanide
Oxidation) versions.
Treated effluent from the BTP meets most discharge
limits across the world.

Plant
…bringing simplicity
into wastewater/
effluent treatment…The M●ECO-CTP systems are designed for continuous
wastewater/effluent treatment to remove heavy metals
or colloidal.
Like the BTP series they are fully PLC-based with keypads
for entry of parameters and with proportionate dosing of
coagulant, polymer and sludge de-watering functions.
Capacity 2 to 15 m3/hr (65gpm).
(Please contact us or our distributor/agent for enquiries).

Our M●ECO-CLF series are hybrid clarifier cum
flocculator systems. They are designed to meet the
environmental requirements for storm water-runoff set
forth by the Public Utilities Board (PUB).
The system incorporates a smart program that senses an
incoming flow of soiled water and automatically dose in
the pre-set amount environment-friendly coagulant and
polymer into the water. The flocculator ensures the
polymer is mixed well with the soil in the water to form
large settle-able floccs.
Once the floccs flow into the settlement zone, they will
settle down rapidly to the sludge thickening zone while
the clear water flows up to the surface and overflow
through the V-notched weir to be discharged into the
surface drain. The thickened sludge at the bottom is
drained out by gravity through an automatic motorized
ball valve. This is actuated at a pre-program
proportionate fixed rate to the incoming storm water
run-off.
