Dear Parents,
We are half-way through the term and it has been an
interesting time with memorable moments of learning in and
out of the classroom. A number of activities have kept our
scholars constantly buzzing with excitement and ready to try
out new things.
Teenagers’ Day celebration was simply magical! You needed to
be there to soak the atmosphere of merriment and fun-filled
activities. There were lots of memorable highlights of the
events. But the most notable ones will undoubtedly be dance
competition, swimming and the girl’s football match with
Nelson Mandela Foundation School. Our scholars competed on
equal footings with professional dancers from Adila Inc. The
occasion did not faze them! Also, our Girl’s Football Team
overcame a very determined opposition to triumph four goals
to one. And last but not least, is the olympic sized swimming
pool that is now fully functional. Our scholars enjoyed a bit of
a splash and a game of water polo.
Singing Audition OMC scholars have done
it again! Our scholars faced stiff
competition from over fifty participants
nationwide in the recently concluded Idios
Sound Audition. Two of our scholars were
selected to be the face of Idios Creative.
This is a massive achievement, and it is a
testament of the dedication, commitment
and hard work of their music teacher Mr
Soji. These scholars will in the future, be
travelling nationwide to shocase their
talents. International record companies
will soon be knocking on their doors.
IFTAR Celebration A big thank you to all
our muslim parents and scholars of OMC
for another fantastic night of IFTAR
celebration. The theme was on harmony
and unity in a divided world. To observe
everyone eating and to share their food in
a relaxed and calm atmosphere is very
gratifying and is a demonstration of the
kind of religious tolerance which we would
like to see in our nation and the world at
large. The evening was concluded with the
presentation of an award to The Director of
Education – Ms Donna Wallace for her
understanding of the importance of unity,
tolerance and raising believers irrespective
of their differences.
OMC Orchestra will soon be in full swing
and scholars have already been selected to
participate in this program. It is our vision
to have one of the best orchestras in
Nigeria within a year so that our scholars
can perform in international competitions.
The orchestra group is in training now, and
the scholar’s taster lessons are going to
