June 24, 2019 --- Sisters Network ® Inc., the only national African American breast cancer survivor-run organization in the United States is pleased to announce that Marketing executive and breast cancer survivor, Ricki Fairley has joined Sisters Network ® Inc. (SNI), as Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & National Programs. In her consulting role, Fairley will provide marketing services to assist SNI to identify and develop new corporate partnerships, implement strategic planning goals, elevate the national brand, plan and execute impactful and innovative national programs to support breast cancer survivors and increase breast health awareness in African American communities nationwide. Black women have the highest breast cancer death rate of any racial/ethnic group, 40% more likely to die than Caucasian women. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among African American women according to the latest data from the American Cancer Society. “Ricki has the passion, leadership, vision and experience to play an instrumental role to expand Sisters Network national footprint in the breast cancer movement and develop new corporate partnerships to support programming and outreach. As a breast cancer survivor, Ricki understands the importance of educating African American women about breast cancer and she recognizes the impact Sisters Network has made over the last 25 years serving the needs of the Fairley is seven-year Stage 3A Triple Negative Breast Cancer Survivor. She is the Founder, President and Thought Leader of DOVE Marketing. A 30-year veteran marketer, Fairley’s marketing experience includes working with The Coca-Cola Company, Johnson & Johnson, Nabisco and numerous Fortune 500 companies. As a patient advocate, she serves on the Board of Trustees of the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
