C. CASUALTIES
• There were a total of nine (9) reportedly dead and four (4) injured on the landslide incident in Brgy Commonwealth Quezon City that tran spired on or about 07 August 2012.
D. FLOODED AREAS (TAB B)
• Widespread flooding was reported in the NCR particularly in the cities of Valenzuela, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Makati, Navotas, Parañaque, Quezon, Marikina and Pasig.
� Flooding is also reported in Calasiao, Pangasinan; Meycauayan and Obando in Bulacan; Cardona and Cainta in Rizal; Sta, Rosa, Biñan, Calamba, San Pedro, Cabuyao, Los Baños, Bay, Victoria, Sta. Cruz, Lumban, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Siniloan, Mabitac, Sta. Maria and Famy in Laguna; Noveleta and Gen. Trias in Cavite; Bacolor, Apalit, Candaba, Guagua, Lubao, San Simon, Macabebe, Masantol, Minalin, Sasmuan, Sto tomas in Pampanga; and Paniqui and La Paz in Tarlac.
• There are a total of forty six (46) cities/municipalities in Regions I, III, IV-A and NCR that are affected by flooding to date.
D. STATUS OF LIFELINES
CONDITIONS OF ROADS AND BRIDGES (TAB C)
• To date, the following areas in NCR with roads that are not passable to all/light vehicles are as follows: Valenzuela, Quezon City, Taguig, Caloocan, Muntinlupa, Malabon, Pasay, Parañaque, Pateros, Makati, and some roads in Pampanga.
1. STATUS OF DAMS AND WATERWAYS (As of 2:00 PM, 07 August 2012)
• Closely monitored are the following dams which are now in spilling levels: Angat and Ipo in Bulacan, La Mesa in Quezon City, Ambulao and Binga in Benguet, San Roque in Pangasinan and Pantbangan in Nueva Ecija
• The following municipalities in Pangasinan: San Manuel, San Nicolas, Tayug, Sta Maria, Asingan, Villasis, Alcala, Bautista, Rosales and Bayambang are expected to be affected while Ambuklao, Binga and San Roque dams are releasing water.
• All residents living in the areas near Ipo, Ambuklao, Binga and San Roque dams are advised to be alert for possible increase in the water level downstream.
E. COST OF ASSISTANCE (TAB D)
• As per DSWD, as of 3:00 PM, 07 August 2012, the total amount of ₱ 12,994,213.85 worth of relief assistance was provided to the affected families. The Local Government Units (LGUs) provided ₱ 6,232,911.95, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) provisioned ₱ 654,500.00 while the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) allocated ₱ 6,106,801.90.
F. RESPONSE ASSETS DEPLOYED
• A total of 202 personnel, 14 vehicles and 14 seacrafts were deployed in various areas in Metro Manila to provide evacuation and search and rescue support.

Effects of Typhoon “GENER” and SOUTHWEST MONSOON
PREPAREDNESS MEASURES As of 07 August 2012, 5:00 PM
NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS
A. NDRRMC • Disseminated NDRRMC Advisories on Weather Advisory to all regions affected through
SMS and facsimile, uploaded the same at the NDRRMC Website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for further dissemination to their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial down to the municipal levels
• Directed RDRRMCs concerned through the OCD Regional Centers to undertake precautionary measures in their respective areas of responsibility (AOR) and subsequently advised local DRRMCs to initiate pre-emptive evacuation of families in low-lying and mountainous areas if situation warrants
B. MEMBER AGENCIES • DILG IV-A, DSWD IV-A, DOST IV-A, DOH IV-A, PNP IV-A , AFP-SOLCOM, PCG-STL,
BFO IV-A, DPWH IV-A, DA IV-A, BFAR IV-A and other RDRRMC member agencies have been on alert stand-by and monitoring the situation.
REGIONAL PREPAREDNESS:
•••• RDRRMCs III and IV-A disseminated weather and flood bulletins and gale warnings to all concerned local DRRMCs, RDRRMC member agencies, the tri media thru facsimile and SMS, and to several fishermen associations. OCD IV-A is continuously monitoring the weather situation in their AOR and closely coordinating with P/MDRRMCs regarding effects of Southwest Monsoon enhanced by the effects of TS Haikui.
� PDRRMC Quezon response team was placed on stand-by alert and be prepared to assist in the evacuation operations in the provinces of Laguna, Cavite and Rizal.
� PDRRMC Bulacan is closely monitoring the status of Ipo and Bustos Dam. Alerted residents in low-lying and mountainous areas for possible flashfloods and landslides. Closely monitoring the flooded areas in San Miguel.
� PDRRMC Tarlac is closely monitoring the dikes at Villa Paz Gerona Section of the Tarlac River
� MDRRMC Paniqui is closely monitoring the dikes at Barungabong, Colibangbang and Nancamarinan Paniqui section.

� NDRRMC Operations Center was upgraded from BLUE ALERT to RED ALERT STATUS as of 4:45 AM, 07 August 2012 and is continuously monitoring and disseminating 24 hour Public Weather Forecast, Severe Weather Bulletin, Gale Warning, and General Flood Advisories to all RDRRMCs/OCDRCs through SMS, facsimile and websites for further dissemination to their respective Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) from the provincial to the municipal levels.
� Conducted Emergency meeting with the President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III and was presided by Sec. Voltaire Gazmin, Chairperson of NDRRMC. It is attended by representatives by the Secretaries from different agencies namely: PAGASA, DOST, MMDA, DSWD, DILG, DOH, DPWH, DepEd, AFP, PNP and PC G. The meeting focused on the action plan on damage assessment, asset mobilization, Search and Rescue (SAR), relief allocation and distribution to augment the LGUs and affected communities.
� Based on the recommendation of PAGASA and NDRRMC, the Office of the President issued MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 33 suspending work in government offices and classes in college level in National Capital Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite and Rizal today, 07 August 2012, with the exception of those agencies whose functions involved the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness and response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services.
� � DOH:
� CHD III conducted assessment on evacuation centers in Calumpit and Malolos City, Bulacan. Provided ₱ 50,000.00 worth of drugs and medicines to Provincial Health Team Office.
� DSWD III prepositioned 500Family Food Pack for SWAD Bulacan for augmentation. � PRC Rizal Chapter conducted relief operations in San Mateo and Rodriguez, Rizal � AFP:
• 161 Battalion deployed 1 squad from Headquarters Company to Tanay, Rizal • 12 Disaster Response Unit (DRU) Charlie Company conducted relief operations
and facilitated evacuation of civilians trapped in deeply flooded areas in San Mateo, Rizal
• SOLCOM Commander advised all operating units to coordinate to the LDRRMCs in their respective AORs and be prepared to assist in their operations as the need arises.
• AFP RESCOM NHQ assisted in the evacuation in Gen. Trias and Bacoor in Cavite
� PNP: • Activated the NHQ Disaster Preparedness Response Task Group effective 8:00
PM, 06 August 2012. • Deployed a total of 250 SAF Personnel (125 in CAMANAVA Area and 125 in
Marikina) for SAR Operations since 8:00 AM, 07 August 2012.
• Deployed four (4) 6x6 Trucks for “Libreng Sakay” Operations and other assistance to other assistance to stranded motorists/passengers.
• Sent 70 PNP Personnel to DSWD National Resource Operations Center, Pasay City to assist in the repacking of relief items.
• Deployed 1,114 PNP Personnel from NCRPO to different location in Metro Manila. • PNP/PRO IV-A dispatched one (1) team in San Pedro, Laguna to stand-by and
assist in the evacuation of affected residents of the municipality.

RDRRMC IV-A
• RDRRMC IV-A Chairperson alerted PNP PRO IV-A to assist DSWD IV-A in the relief operations in the provinces of Rizal, Laguna and Cavite
• PDRRMC Laguna was instructed to conduct pre-emptive evacuation in the municipalities along Laguna de Bay.
• CDRRMC Sta Rosa conducted pre-emptive evacuation to 137 families and provided family food packs
