Dachstein West is a medium-sized ski area, with won-derful panoramic pistes and views of the Dachstein mountain. Accessed from the villages of Gosau, Russ-bach and Annaberg, it has a good mountain lodge net-work and gives great value for your money.

Located in the heart of Europe, you can find the prettiest views of the Dachstein mountain and Austrian hospitality at its most cordial all in the southern corner of the geographical triangle of Linz – Salzburg – Dachstein.

Situated between the idyllic and world famous village of Hall-statt in the Upper Austrian Dachstein-Salzkammergut region, and Russbach and Annaberg in Salzburg, it is the home region of ski star and five-time World Cup winner Marcel Hirscher. There, a sustainable and first-class ski area has gently evolved. Dachstein West is still something of an insider tip; but it gets a great big ‘LIKE’ from all ski fans, once they have found it. Skiing in Dachstein West offers an impressive mountain pa-norama, perfect pistes, snow guarantee to the greatest pos-sible extent, modern lifts, traditionally styled mountain lodges and inexpensive ski passes. Skiing in the low mountain ranges protected from wind and avalanches with views of the higher mountains – there is hardly anywhere else where you can get the same intensity as here at Dachstein West. And this year it’s even better with our brand-new, signposted, connected “Pano-ronda” ski circuit, with a total length of 44 km. This is just one of the reasons why Dachstein West is known as one of the ski areas in Austria with the best views – and one of the friendliest.

Place key card in the left jacket or trouser pocket. Deposit: Euro 2,-. Return of undamaged key cards possible at all ticket offices. No acceptance of other data carriers. Legal note: The individual services to which the ski passes entitle are provided by legally independent companies. The company which sells the pass only acts as a representative for the other companies. Therefore, only the relevant company is obliged to provide the individual services and compensation in case of any possible incidents. Misuse regulations: Each misuse of ski passes including use by third parties will be punished and will result in the revocation of the ski pass and exclusion from transportation. In addition, a fine of at least Euro 70,- and the price of a full-price day pass will be charged. Any attempt to transfer a ski pass to another guest is considered misuse. Criminal charge reserved! On buying a ski pass the customer agrees to have their digital photo taken at the access systems, for control reasons. These photos will not be passed on to third parties and will be deleted on expiry of the ski pass.

Conditions of transportation:Ski ticket reimbursement following a ski accident: With ski passes of 3 days or more. Following a ski accident, reimbursement can only take place if the ski pass is handed in at a ticket office. The period of use is from the day of issue of the ski pass until the day it is handed in. A medical certificate is required for cash payment of reimbursement. No cash reimburse-ment is possible for family members who depart with the injured person prematurely. In the event of illness, no reimbursement can be made, even if a medical certificate is provided. Ski passes are not transferable! Lost or forgotten ski passes cannot be replaced. Bad weather, unforeseen departure, operational interruptions or closure of ski slopes do not constitute en-titlement to reimbursement or extension. Subsequent exchange for another ski pass, transfer to another person, extension or postponement of validity period is not possible. Please note the conditions of transportation of the individual lifts (shown at ticket office or lift). On buying a ski pass the guest agrees to the conditions of transportation published at the respective lifts. Piste accidents: A rescue fee will be charged for rescue following an accident on the pistes.

SKI PASS SALESFor multiple day passes already on the previous day from 3pm. The pistes are closed from 5pm to 8.30am. In low season periods lift operation may be reduced due to insufficient snow conditions.

In the Dachstein West region you can define fun for your-self. You can find the athletic kick either on the extensive ski slopes or on one of the 12 fun pistes. As a freestyler you can practise your grabs and tricks in the fun parks, whether on the obstacles, kickers or rails. Freeriders are mad for the “Rock’n’Roll” or “Schwarzreiter” fun pistes. You can really enjoy yourself here and also have fun im-proving your skiing. Pure fun!

With the new Panoronda (from the word combination of Pano (for panorama) and ronda (for circuit)), Dach-stein West has made a statement that it is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to connected kilometres of piste.
