Skillaware for sedApta ’s Shop Floor Monitor

Support and train your workforce

Skillware is the sedApta solution which blends EPPSS (Electronic Process Performance Support System) and BPI (Business Process Improvement) features to better support your workforce and their performance during roll out, uptake, and monitorning of new IT tools and procedures within enterprise-scale change and trasformation initiatives.

Today, sedApta is proud to announce that the Skillaware platform has been successfully implemented on sedApta’s Shop Floor Monitor (SFM). At a shop floor level, operators usually have to work with several IT systems including MES, QMS, LIMS, CMMS, and Inventory WMH systems. The possibility for end users to be supported in real time decreases the time spent on training the workforce dramatically. Moreover, it reduces the cost for maintenance at the first level of support. Benchmarking shows that almost 70% of maintenance at the first level of support is related to “How do I?” issues. sedApta integrated Skillware to SFM in order to maximize customer ROI and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO).

sedApta sells the Shop Floor Monitor natively integrated to Skillware and provides an out-of-the-box solution that can automatically generate:

Technical documentation

Step-by-step procedural videos

Text-to-speech software “GPS”· Learning analytics and performance dashboards All the above available in multiple languages

Support and train your workforce

sedApta’s customers will be able to better manage international roll outs and reduce the time spent for user training, documentation and maintenance at the first level of support. With Skillaware, SFM Chinese, French and Brazilian end users will have the right support at the right moment, just like a car GPS guides novice drivers. This will provide additional benefits such as reducing resistance to change (a very common and real issue faced by shop floor operators!)

Following modeling and orchestrating activities, Skillaware also offers an important support feature to new software users. Via the SkillAgent, Skillaware helps users “just in time, just enough,” offering support in real time during actual software utilization. Skillaware guides users step-by-step through their procedures and supplies training materials on Shop Floor Monitor. Furthermore, thanks to SkillPortal, users can access the different training materials in off-line mode in order to be able to exercise procedures before executing them on the live system.
