ADP Candidate Link Process Overview
Program/Department directs candidates to ADP website Candidate enters required information and authorize criminal background check onlineProgram/Department accesses online CBI Request FormHR returns background check results to the requestor

Provide candidate with the following instructions: Log on to http://www.candidatelink.com/somstudentpopulationSelect “create an account” and follow prompts to create your user ID and passwordSign into newly created accountComplete the Candidate Release Authorization form in its entirety Review the information you have provided for accuracyComplete the Disclosure and Authorization formSubmit form

NOTE: In accordance with the Electronic Signatures in Global
National Commerce Act (e-Sign Act) the candidate will be given the option to print and complete a paper form.
Should the candidate decide to complete a paper form, he/she will be directed to contact HR to get instructions on how to submit the signed forms.

Steps In Review
Candidate goes to ADP site Candidate Link to enter required information and sign an Authorization.Candidate notifies Program/Department contact that the information has been entered.Program/Department sends online CBI Request to HR.HR initiates investigationHR returns memo indicating investigation is complete and the results are favorable.
