About Don….
Donald Lowell Stickney Jr. was born the third of seven children in the backwoods of Northern
Maine, USA. His connection with the natural world was immediate and deep. Living in a rugged
climate where survival depended on respect and an understanding of nature, he learned to hunt in the
backwoods and fish in the icy northern waters with his father and grandfather. Among many things,
they gave him a clear code of ethics, they taught him how to work with his hands, clear land, track
animals and fish, and read the weather; by example they showed him how to become a man and how to
endure hardship.
By the time he was 19, he had built a log cabin the same way his fathers had, clearing trees and
painstakingly building upwards, chinking it well to withstand the winter’s cold. He made it through
school and eventually earned a university degree in industrial arts, but he always felt more at home in
the great outdoors. It took him many years to understand himself and others to the extent that he
understood the natural world. From the absolute laws of Nature, he had to learn the uncertainties and
difficulties of the human condition, the way of integrity versus the way of the lie.
As an adult he ran his own commercial cleaning business,
built boats, sold soap, sold tires, was a master carpenter and teacher,
was a husband and father. Along with the typical ups and downs, life
also led him through intense suffering and finally to liberation and
integration, becoming a healer and teacher.
In 1991, while working as a union carpenter in a shipyard, he was electrocuted by a defective
arc welder. This accident devastated him mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. The
medical profession could do little to help, and he lived with severe and constant pain. In a very short
period of time Don lost everything he had; his health, his job and the capacity to earn a living, his
home, his wife, his family, the ability to think, to speak, to walk and to reason. It seemed that everyone
had abandoned him including God. He says that at this point he had no other choice, “I either had to
find God within me or die.”
After years of dependence on pain medication and anti-
depressant drugs, he “went on strike”. His doctors were
concerned and told him it wasn’t possible, but Don eventually got
off all medications. This threw him back into constant agony, but
he could think and use his mind again. Don began studying many
types of alternative, complementary methods of thinking and healing in search of solutions. Some of
them were helpful. He continued to live medication free for years. In 2014 he agreed to consider
medical assistance for continuing severe pain in order to ease the distress of a close friend. After a
series of tests and a new diagnosis he once again started a pain management program which proved

ineffective even at the maximum legally prescribed dosage. Once again with a compromised body,
mind and emotional state, he began reducing and removing the medications.
Throughout these life experiences, he continued intensifying his inward search for meaning, for
God, the Truth, and a way of telling what was real or life-giving from the lie of illusion.
Don had many teachers; he studied muscle testing from a chiropractor, the path of Devotional
Nonduality from a mystic, and energetic healing from a Shaolin priest among others. He noticed that
most healing methods only corrected and cleared a certain
number of things. He recognized the usefulness of these
modalities but also saw their limitations. Since his problems
were so extensive, he needed a modality that could correct as
much as possible. He began expanding the modalities he was
learning in order to correct more and more things. If in reality
there is an infinite field of consciousness acting on an infinite
field of unmanifest energy, miracles should be very common and accessible. He kept doing healing
work and helping others which led to the development of exceptional intuitive skills, he received the
gift of “Vision”. He continued searching for answers and meaning. They emerged from deep Stillness
within.
Don explains that, “gradually new realizations came to me about healing and what it is for a
human being to be healed.” He discovered that as he helped people to heal, his own healing was
enhanced. The method known as Healing Corrections began to take shape. Don felt that healing
shouldn’t have to take a lifetime, or 20 years, or 2 years, or 6 months or even one hour. He said, “I
kept looking for and discovering ways to work faster and faster.” He simply states, “healing
corrections grew out of my own experience, out of my need for healing and the desire to help others
with their problems. It grew out of my desire to empower myself and others to lead fulfilling lives and
to know God.” His goal is for others to realize their own healing potential and move forward in a way
that is unique to them. Don believes others can take this work even further, developing advanced
proficiency.
Don currently lives in Prescott Arizona and does distant healing
work via telephone and video web-conference as well as in person.
He is the founder of the method of spiritual healing called Healing
Corrections. Don gives private coaching sessions and teaches
seminars worldwide. His website is

help others move beyond the challenges they are dealing with. By
sharing what he has come to know, he teaches practical spiritual
healing, so that each person experiences and learns how to help themselves and others to live a healthy,
sane and meaningful life. Don continues his work in consciousness research and the ongoing
emergence of this healing modality. His work is dedicated to the Divine Presence inside each One.

Testimonial
I first heard about Don Stickney from a friend who thought his work might be of interest to me.
I wrote his name down in my notebook. Another year passed and I found myself completely consumed
in an emotional storm. I called some other friends for help and they offered to work with me using a
new method. After another 20 minutes on the telephone, I had my first experience with Healing
Corrections. Something very deep and profound had shifted. I had practiced and was familiar with
distant energetic healing but had never come across anything quite like this. I spent the next four
weeks yawning as layer after layer of tension started to uncoil. I still had my problems to face, but I
was no longer overwhelmed by it all. I was neutral and completely non-attached for the first time in
my life. This state had been a goal of mine but one that I was unable to achieve except fleetingly in
meditation. I had to learn more about what Healing Corrections was and what was behind it.
I waited another six months before beginning study with Don. As my friends had urged, during
that time I practiced daily what they had done. Amazingly it worked most of the time. I experienced
more and more non-attachment. I found my clients responding better to treatments. There was a
feeling of living and not just getting by. Non attachment was so different from detachment and
indifference as an attempt to numb pain or ease the crude impact of disturbing events. I believe this
was what the mystics described, yet the actual feeling was so very indescribable and real. Its clean,
quiet and innocent.
I’ve now studied directly with Don for a year and
am still amazed by the depth and breadth of this method.
There is a place for everyone and at every level of
practice. Healing Corrections can be done casually with
very little knowledge and effort…it works. It can be done
at the same intensity as Don does it, as a way of life, as a
spiritual walk that is just as intense and rigorous as the
shamanistic path, requiring constant listening, letting go
and yielding to the Truth, no matter what that might entail.
I am deeply grateful for what Don freely shares with
everyone and am stunned that such a short period of time has passed since I came into contact with
Healing Corrections. What seems to have taken my entire life to learn has more than doubled in a mere

HEALING CORRECTION INTENTION
1. Integrous corrections are made only with Thy calibrated permission,
O Lord.
2. Corrections are made from a calibrated, corrected position of 100%
nonattachment.
3. Corrections are made from Unmanifest to Manifest and from Manifest
to Unmanifest with one act in synchronicity by the Self.
4. Corrections are made to the highest good, from the roots of
detrimental energetic fields below level 200 to the constructive
expressions of the power of energetic fields above level 200.
5. When the mind is 100% made up about a thing, it tends to manifest.
If conditions and positionalities are present then the support is less
than 100%. The support is corrected to 100% on all levels.

The following text was written to make it easier to understand the spiritual principles expressed in the
Healing Correction Intention:

Now that you’ve taken the seminar it’s time to begin doing the work on a regular basis and see how
Healing Corrections integrates into your life. The best way to discover this is by putting it into practice.
This is why there is a follow-up 90-day practice period after you have completed the basic seminar.
Once the 90 days is over, you can consider the course successfully completed. You will have gained
good experiences using Healing Corrections and have ideas of what it can do for you personally and
professionally as well as for those around you. As you continue to use Healing Corrections beyond the
first 90 day period, expect your understanding and skill levels to grow.
Please keep in touch and let us know when you have finished this 90 day practice period. Tell us how

This will give you a few ideas of some general areas to work on. There are thousands of specific
issues related to each area. Choose one general area to work on and then identify a single issue in
that area. Once you find an issue, do the Basic Protocol and make a correction to the issue you
selected.

should pull up many feelings along with physical issues to be corrected. Going through these
topics will trigger things that are out of balance in you. As you correct them, you will find yourself

THE BASIC PROTOCOL
The Basic Protocol is one of the foundations of Healing Corrections. Use this protocol when working
on yourself, on other people and on all things that need to be corrected.
1. Identify the person you are working with by an initial. Identify
an issue or problem (see “Where do I Begin” in the previous section for
ideas). When working with someone else, spend as little time as
possible describing the problem. The details don’t really matter. Define
the issue in 1-3 words (for example “Relationship with brother” or “Job
conflict”). Draw a circle on your notebook page. Inside the circle write
“Issue,” and then under that your 1-3 word issue definition. Somewhere
on the page, it’s also helpful to write down significant facts that come up
in the discussion about the problem.
2. Draw three lines underneath the circle. Focus your attention on
the negative feelings that you are having right now, holding this issue in
mind (see Unpleasant Feelings, Appendix 3). Fill in the three lines.
When you think about (the issue) right now,
not in the past and not in the future,
but at this very moment, are these feelings present right now?
Yes or no?
You have defined the issue and three negative feelings. This is crucial each time a correction is
made. It’s also important that the negative feelings are active and that you have them right now.
3. To the right of each feeling, write a number for the
intensity level of each feeling on a scale where “0” means
“not present” or “neutral,” and “10” is the maximum level
of negative feeling.
4. When working with another person, before correcting ask,

5. First make a correction to 100% non-attachment. To do this:
a. Pass your hand over the Healing Corrections Intention (HCI) document once. This is called
gathering the Healing Correction Intention.

b. Use your dominant hand with the palm facing towards the body. Pass your hand slowly
along the centerline of your body from the pelvis to the top of the head. Drop your hand to
the side. While you are doing this say,
Correction to me to 50% non attachment.
Then repeat this procedure and correct yourself again to,
75%, 90%, 95%, 99% and 100% non attachment
If you know muscle testing, test for 100% non attachment. While doing healing work, re-correct
yourself to 100% non-attachment any time you feel yourself getting involved in the process.
6. Next you are making a correction to 100% support for healing, 100% of the time.
a. Gather the HCI again.
b. With your palm facing the other person, follow down the centerline of their body
(alternatively, you can simply hold your palm towards their center, around the heart). Say,
Correction to you to 100% support for healing, 100% of the time.
c. Or else, if you are doing a self correction, hold your palm around your heart center and say,
Correction to me to 100% support for healing, 100% of the time.
If you know muscle testing, test for 100% support, 100% of the time.
7. Correction for the troubling issue.
a. Gather the HCI again.
b. Pass your hand slowly over the body while saying
Using the Healing Correction Intention, correction from (1st feeling) to 100% neutral.
Correction from (2nd feeling) to 100% neutral.
Correction from (3rd feeling) to 100% neutral. Done by your God/Highest Power.
8. Wait about 15 seconds. Ask the other person or yourself,
When you hold (the issue) in mind, do you still feel (1st
feeling), (2nd feeling) and (3rd feeling) right now, or has
something changed?
In the second column, write the new intensity level (0-10).

9. If there is some negative feeling left, correct the residual feeling. (In the example above, the
second feeling is corrected for the residual.)

In the third column, write in the intensity (0-10).
11. If there is still some negative feeling present, correct the residual again :
Healing Corrections to you from any remaining negative feelings about (the issue) to 100%
neutral. Done by your God/Highest Power.
Correction from (1st feeling if applicable) to 100% neutral.

12. Wait about 15 seconds. Ask,

feeling) or are you neutral? Have you had a shift?
Remember, while it feels great when the negative emotion gets to 0, the only thing we're
looking for is a shift.
13. Find another issue and teach the person how to self correct using the Universal Protocol.
Explain that if the negative feelings come back, they can correct these feelings again
themselves.

UNIVERSAL PROTOCOL
The Universal Protocol can be used by everybody, from those very experienced to those with no
understanding of Healing Corrections. This protocol is generally taught at the end of a Healing
Corrections session so that the person has an experience of bringing themselves to neutral and healing
emotional distress on their own. This tool is freely given to all with the hopes that it will be used and
alleviate some of the emotional and physical pain and suffering that we all experience in our lives.
The primary difference between the Basic Protocol and the Universal Protocol is that the Healing
Correction Intention (HCI) is not used directly. However, it still works because it is done in the same
way that someone trained in Healing Corrections does it (e.g. using the Healing Correction Intention).
The Universal Correction is like the key that opens the door to healing. So why isn’t knowledge of the
HCI necessary? One reason is because the key actually opens the door to the person’s own home, their
deepest Self, where they are safe, sane and whole. All is already known in that place, there is no
mystery and there are no secrets.
1. Identify an issue and circle it. Write three negative
feelings and the overall pain intensity level (1-10).

3. Movement – Use your dominant hand with the palm facing towards your body. Let your
hand slowly move upwards along the centerline, from the pelvis to the top of your head.
Then let your arm gently drop to the side and repeat the movement. Repeat the movement
and the phrase for each feeling three times.
Using the Healing Correction Intention, correction to me from (1st feeling) about
(the issue), to 100% neutral, done by my God/Highest Power.
Correction to me from (2nd feeling) about (the issue), to 100% neutral, done by my
God/Highest Power.

4. If the person has difficulty remembering or reading, they can repeat the phrases after you.
Remain non-attached and simply observe them doing the self correction.
5. Ask them if something has shifted. Explain that you haven’t done anything, it was their
Highest Power, the God of their understanding that did the work. This is a miracle.
6. Always remind them that if the negative feeling bubbles up again, they can use this
Universal Correction to bring it to neutral.

General Guidelines
1. Commit to doing Healing Corrections for 90 days. Check off Day by Day.
It’s a good idea to get into the habit of doing Healing Corrections every day, but if you skip a day or
two, just begin again where you left off. Be kind and gentle to yourself ….no guilt trips. (Correct the
feeling, whatever it is, and keep moving!) Mark the days you have completed on the 90 Day Check-Off
List (see Appendix 2).
2. How many times a day should I practice?
You may find yourself using Healing Corrections often. It can be used on anything you find upsetting.
It’s quick and effective. Do it at least once per day. If you go through a 24 hour period and never have a
glimpse of a troubled feeling, you are either in a coma, or need to do a Healing Corrections for
awareness and acceptance of your inner feelings!
3. Do I have to write in a notebook?
Although not entirely necessary, it’s a good idea to use a notebook to record what happens in the next
90 days. Experiences, thoughts and ideas are quickly lost. Writing things down will make your work
easier and may be useful sometime in the future. Just remember, the things you write might also be of a
very personal nature. Unless you are professionally qualified to handle this type of sensitive
information, write “issue x” or “person x” etc. so that nobody in particular can be identified. As a rule
of thumb, if what you write in your notebook or on your computer could not be published on the front
page of the newspaper without upsetting anyone, do not keep a written record of it.
4. Should I write down every time I do a Healing Correction?
It depends. There may be times when you are using Healing Corrections so often that it would almost
be impossible to write it all down. Do what is easy and practical for you and be flexible. The writing
should take very little of your time and energy. It should be easy, quick and simple. This is just a place
for you to jot down some notes or things that come to mind. The simpler it is, the more likely that you
will write. Being complex will not help the healing.
5. Do I need to ask the other person for permission?
Yes and no. However, we generally do ask the person for their permission before beginning out of
courtesy and respect for them. This may be a surprise, but since we are not actually doing the healing
(it is being done by the other person’s Highest Spiritual Power), asking for permission isn’t technically
required. This also means that you can ethically work with a person or situation anonymously. It may
be comforting to remember that it is impossible for anyone practicing Healing Corrections to control or
manipulate people, events, things and outcomes. After a seminar this is quite obvious. Healing
Corrections is a very safe and clean method for all concerned. So yes, we do ask for permission
because we care about the other person, and we also make corrections anonymously.

6. What if I don’t have anybody to work with?
If you spend the entire time correcting yourself, one of the drawbacks is that you will not be actively
involved in the whole of the intuitive process. When we make corrections for other people, we enter a
process where information is received so that the corrections can be made. While working on other
people, corrections which are unique to you will develop naturally via intuition. These corrections
have come to you because they are yours to do, and you will be very good at doing them. One way to
practice is by working on people anonymously. This is also selfless service. If you have access to
internet, you can correct people who pass in front of a live web camera. Correcting others
anonymously every day increases inner knowing.

7. If I am in a public place, can I do Healing Corrections without anyone noticing it?
Yes, this can be another way to work anonymously. It is possible to say the words in your mind. If you
carry an HCI in your pocket or bag, focus on this while you are silently working. You can hold the HCI
in your mind. It is not necessary to move your hands. Remember, you are only holding the intention to
align with spiritual principles, so nothing is actually flowing from you to another person. It is the other
person’s Highest Power, their God, that does the healing. In a very real sense, you are not even
involved. You are non-attached and witnessing the miraculous.
8. How much time will this take?
Doing Healing Corrections should take very little of your time. In fact, as you clear your own issues,
you may become more and more efficient with the time that you do have. If you know that you have a
particularly busy day, in the morning correct three negative feelings that you have about a “Very Busy
Day.” Then correct yourself to “optimal function for your work.” Notice what happens. Once you find
your feelings, the actual healing correction takes less than 2 minutes. If you write in your notebook
while you’re doing the work, the entire process takes somewhere between 2 – 5 minutes. Remember,
keep it simple.
9. What if I don’t even have 2 minutes?
Carry the Healing Corrections Intention in your pocket. Hold it in your hand, in your mind or look at it,
and then say, “correct that.” Take it out from time to time and read it. Relax and take it easy. The work
is being done for you. Later on when you have time, write down what happened.
10. What if I prefer doing corrections more slowly?
By all means take as long as you like to do the corrections. If you feel rushed, take it at a pace that feels
right to you. Play with it. There is really no right or wrong way to do it. If it works for you in a certain
way, that’s the right way for you to do it right now. It may or may not change over time. The important
thing is to do the work and continue doing it daily.

11. When is the best time to do Healing Corrections?
Many of us like to start and or end the day by doing a Healing Correction for ourselves. You may want
to experiment and see if there is a particular time that you like best. It could be a time that you feel
calmer or perhaps a time that you feel stressed and need support. Some people like to do corrections at
the same time every day to set a habit. You could also do it at set intervals, every hour, every 30
minutes etc. Don feels the best time is when something is bothering you, when you feel out of balance.
12. I’m still learning. May I teach other people how to self correct?
Yes. Always do this if possible. Some people have been inspired and only use the Universal
Correction. They have also successfully experienced increased peace and freedom in their lives. Simple
can still be very powerful. Practice the Universal Correction yourself to feel more confident sharing it
with others.
13. How should I use Healing Corrections?
Healing Corrections enhances other activities and practices that you have; it doesn’t replace them.
When negative feelings bubble up during the day, correct them. If you work with other people, correct
the negative feelings that come up in you for each of them. If problems occur, correct them. If you
work with clients or patients, you may wish to use the Healing Corrections Basic Protocol and then
teach them how to do the Universal Correction as appropriate. If not appropriate, you could correct
them anonymously while you work. Some people place a copy of the Healing Correction Intention
document in their pocket, under a massage or treatment table, or somewhere in the work space. This
states their intention to align their work with the spiritual principles expressed in the Healing
Corrections Intention.
14. How can I tell if the feeling is active or if I’m just thinking about it?
Feelings and emotions are something tangible and real. A feeling is experienced right now and is also
felt physically in the body. You feel what you feel, that’s all....no comment. If you or someone else is
having a difficult time identifying active negative emotions or feelings, concentrate on a sensation in
your body. This might be a tightness, a heaviness, hardness, cold, heat, a buzzing, compression,
contraction, numbness, butterflies, sweating, lump in throat, knot in stomach, a sinking feeling, a
change in heartbeat etc. As a self discipline, avoid finding a reason for these emotions or feelings.
Avoid thinking about them. Just identify them as being present and causing a certain level of
disturbance, pain or discomfort. As we practice we start to tune in to how we feel and how we think,
it is a process.
15. Are Healing Corrections only for emotional issues?
No, they can also be used for physical conditions. There is no difference in a correction for an
emotional or physical condition. Since emotional pain and suffering are so common and easy to
correct, attention is focused primarily there in the beginning of the practice. It may take more time for
healing to manifest on the physical level, but not necessarily. Keep correcting yourself to 100% non-

attachment, 100% support for healing 100% of the time. It’s okay if the physical condition heals and
it’s okay if it doesn’t. It has to be that way. You are not doing the work. You are witnessing what
occurs.
16. Due Diligence
Occasionally, when doing Healing Corrections to bring feelings to neutral, there is no significant shift
in the negative feeling. In these cases it might be necessary to do “due diligence” in order to achieve
the maximum benefit from Healing Corrections. We may need to make some other changes in our
behavior or in our life. This is beyond the scope of this Quick Start Manual. It would be advisable to
check with a sharing partner who has more experience with Healing Corrections to help you.
17. May I share the Healing Corrections Intention document with others?
Please do not pass out copies of the Healing Corrections Intention document. At this time it is only
given to people who have taken a Healing Corrections seminar. All the same, there are no secrets. If
you would like to read the HCI to someone or hang it on the wall, that is fine. You may make copies of
the Healing Corrections Intention for personal use only. When sharing materials and methods, please
use the Universal Protocol. The Universal Protocol is designed to be freely shared so everyone has
access to healing, whether they have taken a seminar, or not (see Appendix 5).
18. Why is it so important to find the negative feelings in the present moment?
The main reason is because the active negative feelings give us a benchmark. After corrections are
made, we know something has shifted and this is indeed a miracle. If the change is not recognized, the
person will not know that they are in a different space. Some people are very sensitive and are able to
perceive subtle differences, but for most it is necessary to work with something that is obvious….the
elephant in the living room ….and some of us will have difficulty finding that!
