Role of the AMEC Small Business Program

Identify and promote various small business firms to internal personnel

Prepare and manage all required SB reporting Monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports to clients

Monitor compliance with small business goals on contracts

Support business development/proposal efforts Verify business size of potential subcontractors Write SB Subcontracting Plans Complete supplier diversity questionnaires from clients Attend and Host Small Business Networking Events

Approve Source Lists for Federal Procurements

Provide updates on Small Business Regulations

Role of the AMEC Small Business Program Conducting market research to identify small

business subcontractors and suppliers through all reasonable means.

Soliciting small business concerns early in the acquisition

Providing adequate and timely information about the plans, specifications and requirements for performance of the prime contract to assist SB subcontractors in submitting a timely offer.

Negotiating in good faith with interested small businesses.

Breaking out contract work items into economically feasible units, as appropriate.
