Established in 1939, the company hasconstantly grown by widening the range ofits activities around two areas of expertise:industrial instrumentation and intrinsicsafety protection technology for hazardousareas.

GEORGIN, by showing proof of its high levelof technical skill added to a high level ofreactivity to the needs of industrialcustomers, has been able to developinnovations that make the difference.

• 1965: The measure and controldepartment was created forinstrumentation of pressure andtemperature.

• 1970: Renowned and specialised inintrinsically safe interfaces, theelectronic department was created.

• 1981: A first CENELEC Certification wasobtained.

• 1993: The energy-transport-Navydepartment was set up to meet thedemands and the specific needs ofmajor accounts like the French state railoperator, the Navy, thermal and nuclearpower stations.

• 1994: Certification to the ISO 9001standard.A subsidiary was opened in Belgium.

• 2001: A first ATEX Certification wasobtained.

• 2003-04: Configurable digitalelectronics and fieldbus wereintroduced.

• 2009: SIL certification for our productrange.

A commercial office was opened in China.

Today, GEORGIN continues to develop theseactivities with all the rigor of an ISO 9001Version 2008 certified quality managementsystem.

In collaboration with its customers, GEORGINhas guided its businesses in a demanding andconstantly changing market bydeveloping and enhancing itsskills in the fields of pressure andtemperature (logical andanalogue sensors), intrinsic safetyequipment (barriers, relays, converters, power supplies,indicators...) and fieldbuses (remote I/O).

GEORGIN's investments in R&D have enabledit to deliver reliable and durable equipmentand to maintain the quality of its products.

Recognized skills in• Measurement• Control• Safety

The products offered are suitable for amultitude of industrial applications in whichthey are integrated into the main processes. They are used in very harsh environments suchas extreme temperatures, corrosiveatmospheres and explosive atmospheres.

GEORGIN, Specialist for harsh environments.

Georgin offers a wide range of logo silproducts and assists its customers inmaking their industrial sites safe to meetthe requirements of an instrumented safetyfunction complying with the MachineryDirective 2006/42/EC.

To qualify our products, we have chosen tointegrate the requirements of standardCEI61508 at the early stages of design.

For the current range of pressure and tem-perature switches, and pressure transmit-ters, Georgin has performed an operationalfeedback analysis, allowing us to quantifythe reputation for reliability of our equip-ment.

All our SIL approved products allow SIL2 capwithout redundancy or externalmonitoring in accordance with the 1oo1Markov architecture.

DATA SHEETThe ProcessX differential pressure (flow) transmitter

accurately measures differential pressure, liquid level,

gauge pressure or ow rate and transmits a proportional

4 to 20mA signal. The transmitter utilizes a unique

micromachined capacitance silicon sensor with state-

of-the-art microprocessor technology to provide

exceptional performance and functionality.

FEATURES1. High accuracy up to ±0.04%

0.065% accuracy as standard, 0.04% accuracy as option.

Georgin’s micro-capacitance silicon sensor assures

this accuracy for all elevated or suppressed calibration

ranges without additional adjustment.

2. Minimum environmental in uence

The “Advanced Floating Cell” design which protects

the pressure sensor against changes in temperature,

static pressure, and overpressure substantially reduces

total measurement error in actual eld applications.

3. GEORGIN//HARTTM bilingual communication protocol

The communication module is “bilingual” to speak both

Georgin proprietary protocol and HART®. Any HART®

compatible devices can communicate with ProcessX

series transmitters

4. Application exibilityVarious options that render the ProcessX suitable for almost any process applications include:

• Full range of hazardous location approvals

• Built-in RFI lter and lightning arrester

• 5-digits LCD meter with engineering unit

• Stainless steel electronics housing

• Wide selection of materials

5. Programmable output Linearization FunctionIn addition to Linear and Square Root, output signal can be freely programmable.(Up to 14 compensated points at approximation.).

6. Burnout current flexibility (Under Scale: 3.2 to

4.0mA, Over Scale: 20.0 to 22.5mA)

Burnout signal level is adjustable using Model FXW

or Hand Held Communicator (HHC) to comply with

NAMUR NE43.

7. Dry calibration without reference pressure

Thanks to the best combination of unique construction

of mechanical parts (Sensor unit) and high performance

electronics circuit (Electronics unit), reliability of dry

calibration without reference pressure is at equal level

as wet calibration.
