The OD1500 array’s dosimetric characteristics make it well suited for daily clinical use. Stability and interchamber sensitivity are well below 0.2% and 0.7% respectively. The linearity of the array is excel-lent, since deviations are below 1% from 5 to 1000 MU.

The Ion Chamber Advantage: No ageing, no degradation

Contrary to silicon diodes, which change their response with accumulated dose, ionization chambers are known for their outstanding stabil-ity. They are factory-calibrated once and remain stable whereas silicon diodes must be regularly calibrated by the user to ensure accurate dose measurements over time.

Rotating the OCTAVIUS 1500 detector array synchronously with the gantry, OCTAVIUS 4D measures the dose inside the entire phantom volume, always perpendicular to the beam.

It requires no angular corrections or frequent user calibrations for long-term dosimetric ac-curacy. One thing less for you to worry about.

Unlike other systems, OCTAVIUS 4D calculates the 3D dose and patient DVHs based on truly measured data, entirely independent of the treatment planning system (TPS).

With 1405 ionization chambers laid out in a unique checkerboard pattern, OCTAVIUS 4D 1500 provides the highest detector density and largest field coverage of comparative 4D QA devices.

As a modular system, it can be used with various detector arrays. Enhance or simply upgrade to the next-generation PTW detector as and when needed.

Used with optional MultiCheck software, OCTAVIUS 4D allows you to check key beam parameters at different gantry angles with one single measurement, without the need for gantry mounts.

Measure the dose with OCTAVIUS and verify it against the TPS quickly and efficiently with feature-rich, intuitive VeriSoft patient plan verifi-cation software.

Calculate patient dose-volume histograms (DVHs) for selected structures in less than a few minutes and compare them with the DVHs calculated by the TPS using optional DVH 4D for VeriSoft.

Unlike other QA devices, which require TPS dose data for DVH calculation, DVH 4D performs its calculations truly independently from the TPS, entirely based on OCTAVIUS 4D measurement data and the patient’s anatomy, using density values from the patient’s CT scan.
