Request an SMS text location message using your mobile phone

To request the latest position of the locator, send text message ‘loc’ to the locator (SIM card) phone number. Your text reply will follow shortly with the date/time, Lat/Long, speed, Altitude, battery life and Google maps link (Dave). Click on the link to go to Google maps To request the latest street address of the locator, send text message ‘add’ to the locator SIM card phone number. Your text reply will follow shortly with the street address. Locator has to be set for time interval message delivery to Smart-Tracking software for street address delivery.

How can I use my

Use SOS button for duress or panic alarm (fall)

In case of duress, panic or a fall the user can press the SOS button for three seconds (until you feel a vibration). Immediately an SMS ‘Help’ text messages will be sent to all programed authorized phone numbers.

The text message contains a Google map link that shows the location of the locator (Dave)

It will also dial each of the programed authorised phone numbers in succession whether or not the calls are answered in person or by messagebank. The caller can converse with the locator (wearer). To stop or end a call, press the SOS button.

The locator SOS button can be used indoors or outdoors while working, walking or driving. It is not connected to any additional phone system. In the event of a *fall the fall sensor will attempt to send an SOS alarm and call an authorised number. After 10 sec of no movement, you will hear a series of beeps (5) followed by attempts to connect to authorised phones to commence conversation. Note – We do not promote this locator as a ‘fall’ detection device; it may or may not detect a fall depending on the circumstances

Make a call from the locator to a programmed phone number

To make a phone call from the locator to the programed phone number, press and hold the side button for three seconds (until you feel a vibration). It will dial the second programed phone number. You can communicate and converse with the other person. To end the call press the SOS button

Call the locator from any phone

Any phone can call the locator’s phone number in either silence mode by sending text L1 first or in non-silence mode. In silence mode the locator automatically answers the call and allows the caller to hear what is happening around the locator following an SOS event - the caller cannot talk to the locator. In non-silence mode the locator rings and will automatically answer the call. The caller can converse with the locator. To end the call press the SOS button

Automatic live location updates sent to Smart-Tracking software

The locator can be programmed to send regular time interval location messages to the Smart-Tracking software and mobile phone application. These live locator positions are plotted on a map for family and careers to trace the movements of the person so they can be safely returned. Usually there is a 15 second delay between actual position and position showing on map software.

Send text message ‘TI01M’ to the locator for Time interval set to one minute, followed by a text reply (Dave). Time interval can also be adjusted on the mobile phone app

When the Smart Power saving mode (PS1) is used and the locator is at rest and does not sense movement, it will shut down the GPS components to save on battery life. Location messages will continue to be sent every 10 minutes. As soon as it detects movement again it will wake the GPS and send a location message to the Smart-Tracking software every minute (or according to the time interval setting). In this mode battery life is expected to be two days with charging required on the second night. The locator stores location positions when it cannot connect to telecom services due to adverse conditions but will store and then send saved positions as soon as connection is re-established. When the locator is at rest and the GPS is shut down, the software may report 0,0 position on the map screen. When there is movement and the GPS wakes, it will send a new location position to the map software The SOS duress, panic or fall button is always active, ready to send an alert to the programed phone numbers with SMS text message, phone call and Internet map software location

Smart-Tracking software available on your smart phone or computer

The Smart-Tracking software is available on your computer or mobile device such as phone or ipad. The applications allow for map locations and some locator setting changes. When positions are sent from the locator to the Smart-Tracking software every 1 to 5 minutes while moving and every 10 minutes while stationary, the locator battery will last two days with charging required on the second night. When Smart-Tracking position sending is turned off and locations are only sent when requested by SMS, the locator battery will last four days with charging required on the fourth night
