SAMPLE Impacts of Covid – 19 Interview

INTERVIEWER: Alison Wood Grinan (Coral Gables, Florida)

INTERVIEWEE – Magdalena Ramada Sarasola (Madrid, Spain)

DATE of INTERVIEW – Saturday, April 18, 2020

TIME of INTERVIEW - Eastern Time Zone - Start Time –8:45AM End Time – 10:02AM

AWG : Good Morning Magda. Thank you so much for agreeing to do this Covid-19 interview. It is important that while my students and their families are social distancing and having to cope with so many changes at once that they see and know that others on a global level are doing the same.

MRS : Thank you for doing the project. I really feel the connections we make globally right now are so important to bringing our world together to heal both from the virus and the divisions which have come about between nations.

AWG : Speaking of healing, how are you feeling? You have been battling Covid – 19 for a while now.

MRS : After over a month, I am finally on the mend. This was one of the most challenging situations I have been put in as a mom and then as a normally healthy and athletic person. It was scary. Really scary and that fear is very powerful.

AWG : You mentioned your kiddos. I hope they are doing well. I already know the answer to this, but for the sake of those reading this interview I am going to address the first hand experiences that both you and your family have endured throughout this global pandemic, but I’d like to do this in order of how the events happened.

MRS : Sure. That makes sense. It works for my logical mind, and as you know Maria Clara and Juan Lucas are doing great now.

AWG: I am going to ask for some background information. Tell me a little bit about your job and how you ended up in Spain.

This is as far I have transcribed as of Sunday morning. You get the idea though. I will work more this afternoon…
