Your winter sports holidayAs a winter sports holiday Tour Operator, our packages include your hotel accommodation, airport transfers – typically by minibus taxi direct to resort – and, in our more popular resorts, the services of our experienced Resort Managers. To this, we can add flights and pre-bookable ski and snowboard essentials – lift passes, equipment rental and group or private lessons.

However, you are more than welcome to source your own flights and we’ll take care of all the other arrangements. Book as much or as little with us as you wish and effectively build your own holiday.

In addition to our own holiday packages, we also act as agents for a number of other tour operators giving us access to thousands of weekly flight-inclusive ski holiday packages to most ski resorts across Austria.

Just let us know what you want and we’ll do the legwork.

Ski and snowboard weekends and short breaksWhile most of our holiday packages are for seven night stays, aside from peak season holiday dates, we offer flexible weekend breaks to most of our resorts. With the right flight times and efficient, direct minibus taxi transfers, we aim to maximise your time on the slopes.

Ski weekends are offered as a tailor-made service rather than an off-the-shelf package and flexible stay availability is limited. Flights are cheaper the more in advance they are booked and our advice for short breaks is to book early.

For a customised quote, please contact us with your requirements.

Experienced resort managersWe want you to enjoy your holiday to the full and our highly trained, experienced Resort Managers will be on hand in those resorts where you need them most to ensure your holiday runs smoothly from start to finish. They provide all the support and attention you need to make the most of your time on and off the slopes.

Snowscape expertise :: We’ll take care of the detailFrom your first contact with us you will be in touch with people who have years of ski and snowboard experience, who have an intimate knowledge of the resorts we offer, and who have professionalism and pride in organising your holiday.

Whether first-timers or seasoned experts, let us help you select your perfect Austrian holiday and let Snowscape take care of the detail that really does make the difference between a good holiday and a truly great one!

profilesResort

Also part of the Schneewinkel area (170 kilometres of piste including Fieberbrunn above), the popular resort of St Johann in Tirol is located between the Kitzbüheler Horn and the mighty Wilder Kaiser mountains. It is a small and friendly resort with a good après-ski scene and is a great option for beginners, intermediates and mixed ability groups.

Salzburg Airport is just one hour away making St Johann an excellent choice for a short break or ski weekend and the resort is the perfect base for exploring a number of other nearby ski areas (Kitzbühel, Söll, Ellmau), all of which are covered on the Kitzbüheler Alps All-Star lift pass.

Transfer time (hours) :: Salzburg 1, Innsbruck 1.5, Munich 2

Your ski holiday in Austria: Where to goAustria ticks all the boxes when it comes to the all-round winter holiday experience with charming and traditional alpine village resorts, lively après-ski and a great choice of ski and snowboard resorts catering for all levels from beginner to expert. Most of our holidays are still based in the Kitzbüheler Alps region including up-and-coming Fieberbrunn, St Johann in Tirol, Kirchberg and world-famous Kitzbühel. However, we offer a selection of Austrian resorts and, on these pages, you’ll find a snapshot and taster of all of our resorts.

For further details including resort fact-files, image galleries, hotel details, snow reports, piste maps plus more, just go to our website and click on ‘Resorts’.

Small yet perfectly formed, Fieberbrunn is Tirol’s best kept secret and boasts the best snow record in the Kitzbüheler Alps. Fieberbrunn is our second home, our most popular resort and is perfect for families, beginners through to expert off-piste, short breaks and ski weekends.

The resort boasts a very modern lift system and offers great skiing locally and on the Schneewinkel area (170 kilometres of piste) which is ideal for beginners and intermediates. There is also some fantastic expert, off-piste skiing with Austria’s only annual ‘Big Mountain’ competition and Freeride World Tour event held here which is testament to the quality of its backcountry terrain.

Families are very well catered for and the resort is perfect for avoiding the half term crowds typical of larger resorts. For a non-commercial, traditional village atmosphere, good après-ski and genuinely friendly locals, look no further than up-and-coming Fieberbrunn. Enjoy it now before the secret gets out!

FIEBERBRUNN

St JOHANN in TIROL

Kirchberg is Kitzbühel’s sister resort located just 6 kilometres from Kitzbuhel and offers access to the same ski area as Kitzbuhel (160 kilometres of piste), excellent après-ski and all-round better value than Kitzbuhel.

There are three main lifts giving access into the Kitzbuhel ski area from Kirchberg and also a connection from Kirchberg into the Ski Welt area via Westendorf. The extended Kitzbüheler Alpen All Star pass covers the Kitzbühel and Ski Welt areas plus more.

Transfer time (hours) :: Salzburg 1.25, Innsbruck 1.5, Munich 2

KIRCHBERG

Kitzbühel is a unique, atmospheric town steeped in skiing history and host to the annual, world-famous Hahnenkamm World Cup downhill race. Colourful medieval buildings, archways and cobbled streets full of character and stylish shops make up the pedestrianised resort centre which has an international and vibrant feel and a lively après-ski scene. A much-improved and modern lift system covers over 160 kilometres of piste with challenging skiing and snowboarding for all levels. There is also a connection from the Kitzbuhel ski area to the Ski Welt via the Ki-West lift which links Kirchberg and Westendorf. Transfer time (hours) :: Salzburg 1.25, Innsbruck 1.5, Munich 2

St JOHANN in TIROL

Sölden is one of Austria’s larger resorts popular for many years with European skiers and snowboarders and only recently gaining popularity with British holidaymakers.

With the après-ski as big as the skiing, Sölden also offers snow-sure slopes, glacier skiing and high altitude skiing over 3,000 metres. There are over 150 kilometres of piste in Sölden and more in the Oetz valley: The ski area is ideal for strong intermediates and the resort vies with St Anton and Ischgl for the ‘Party hotspot of the Alps’ title. If après-ski and nightlife are as big an ingredient in your holiday mix as the skiing, then Sölden should most definitely be on your list.

Transfer time (hours) :: Innsbruck 1

SÖLDEN

With 260 kilometres of piste including Lech, Zürs, Stuben and St Christoph and huge off-piste possibilities, it is easy to see why many rate St Anton as one of the world’s premier resorts.

Add to this some of the most pulsating après-ski in Europe, a great snow record and a traditional Austrian village with a wealth of bars and restaurants and you have a truly world-class ski and snowboard destination. Holiday packages are at a premium and the resort is best suited to advanced riders and night owls.

Transfer time (hours) :: Innsbruck 1.5, Zürich 2.5

St ANTON

Saalbach and the neighbouring resort village of Hinterglemm lie at the centre of the vast ‘Saalbach Ski Circus’ offering fantastic skiing and snowboarding on over 200 kilometres of well-groomed piste. Après-ski at the bottom of the slopes in the middle of Saalbach is very lively and there are some excellent mountain huts and restaurants. The area is best suited to keen intermediate skiers and snowboarders who will relish skiing the huge circuit in both directions (our favourite is clockwise). Saalbach’s resort centre is compact and traffic free and the majority of its hotels are located here within easy walking distance of the lifts, bars, restaurants, cafés and shops. The village of Leogang offers excellent back-door access to the ski area. Transfer time (hours) :: Salzburg 1.5

SAALBACH-HINTERGLEMM

The Stubai Valley lies high above Innsbruck and offers four ski areas of which the Stubai Glacier is the main attraction. Stubai is Austria’s largest glacier ski area offering over 100 kilometres of snow-sure slopes which are open from October to June and the area is best suited to beginners and intermediates with some terrain for experts.

Hotels and accommodation are spread throughout the valley with most guests staying in the main resort of Neustift which offers a wide choice of hotel and accommodation options and has a very good range of shops, bars and cafés.

The transfer time from Innsbruck to Neustift is only around 30 minutes so, if it is guaranteed snow and a short transfer time you are after, look no further!

Transfer time :: Innsbruck 30 minutes
