Learn how to write a winning campaign strategy. We’ll
be examining different theories of change, and mapping
out pathways to success. We’ll also look at how to choose
winnable aims that take our campaigns forward and the
different tactics we have available to us. Armed with these
key skills you’ll ensure that the odds will always be in your
favour.

groups

we create positive group dynamics between the members.
In this session we'll reflect on what makes for strong and
inclusive groups that allow everyone involved to contribute
and develop. We'll examine group structures, decision
making processes and ways of communicating that will
enable you to be an efficient and democratic group, with a
team culture that values everyone!

Undergraduate students:You have the opportunity to have your 2017/18 committee position recorded in your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).
In order for staff to be able to add your position to your HEAR there are some tasks that you need to complete. These are:
These are:
1. You need to submit your Committee Details Part B form ONCE by the specified deadline (19th May 2017 for mandatory positions, 20th October 2017 for non-mandatory positions). 2. Attend the full duration of a Students’ Union Society/Committee training session;
3. Stay in your role until the agreed date of handover to the 2018/19 committee member after the next committee election in Society Election Fortnight (ie. April/May 2018);
4. Submit a Committee Member Completion Form between 16th April and 11th May 2018
If you complete all of the above, then a description of your society/committee and a description of your position will be added to your HEAR by staff on 30th June 2018.

• You must attend the full duration of a training session. If you arrive more than 5 minutes late, or leave before the end, your attendance of the session will not be counted - you would need to attend another session.
• If you have a committee position on two committees, you will need to attend two training sessions if you would like both roles to be recorded on your HEAR. This includes if you have the same position, e.g. Secretary, on both committees.
• If you attended training in 2016/17 for a different or the same committee role, you still need to attend a training session from the 2017/18 society training programme
