Project Description: The construction works included roadway, infrastructure, marine and landscape works. The extent of the site was approximately 2,200 hectares. Environmental Considerations: Part of the area comprised of inter-tidal flats with small stands of mangroves and salt tolerant bushes. Objectives of the Traffic Management Plan: 1. Minimize disruptions to pedestrians, cyclists, buses and motorists. 2. Minimize heavy vehicle movements during peak traffic periods. 3. Minimize access disruptions to adjoining properties. 4. Enhance cooperation between the Contractors by implementing a general traffic management on site plan. 5. Encourage sustainable transport options by site workers. 6. Minimize nuisances to the local surrounding community.
