Installed with EPDM seal, nut and washer.

    Use bolt kit 410226P.

Adjust the height of the bracket as needed using the bolted joints. Installation with expandable screw, safety expanders or chemical anchors in concrete must be done in accordance with instructions provider from the supplier of such a bracket. Screw dimension M10 stainless steel.

A= Carriage bolt, B= EPDM seal

Installation of Solar Panels or Similar Devices on Brackets.

Solar panels are installed onto solar panel brackets, e.g., by screwing rails on to the carriage bolt/brackets and attaching the solar panels onto them. Follow the instructions provided by the solar panel supplier.

    Carriage Bolt as a Bracket

Installation on bitumen-based membrane as specified in installation instruction M-082.

Installation on roofs with PVC, ECO/FPO-based membranes as specified in M-076.

For installation with M10 carriage bold with EPDM, bolt kit 410132P is used. Place an M10 carriage bolt into the square hole in the centre of the mounting plate.

    Bracket for Sheet Metal Roofs

Steel sheet metal min 0.4 mm.

    Use bolt kit 420193P.

Adjust the height of the bracket as needed using the bolted joints.

Screw into place using a low torque for optimal threading in the sheet metal.

Fold mount for double-folded sheet metal roofs and prefabricated panel roofs

Steel sheet metal min 0.6 mm.

Install the fold mount onto the standing seam.

Tighten to a torque of 20-25 Nm.

A= Stainless steel building screw with washer 19 x 6.3 mm, B= EPDM seal

    Toward ridge

Installation of Solar Panels on Brackets

Solar panels are installed onto solar panel brackets, e.g., by screwing rails onto the bracket and attaching the solar panels onto them. Follow the instructions provided by the solar panel supplier.

For installation onto other qualities of sheet metal, follow the recommendations found in Installation Instruction M-124.

Folded sheet metal roof: Make sure that the bracket tabs grasp

under the edge of the seam.

Prefabricated panel roof: Make sure that the bracket tabs grasp the seam so that the inner seam is squeezed tightly in place.

Mounting of wire system according to M-279.

Mounting plate 400 x 400 mm for installation of roof safety devices on roofs with PVC, ECB/FPO-based waterproofing membranes min 1.2 mm.

The waterproofing membrane must be tested in accordance with EN 13956 and satisfy the following requirements:

Tensile strength: min 500 N/50 mm EN 12311-2 Tear resistance: min 110 N EN 12310-2 Shear strength at extension: min 450 N/50 mm EN 12317-2 Peel adhesion at extension: min 150 N/50 mm EN 12316-2

    Mounting plate installed on membrane

Attach the carriage bolt in the intended hole in the mounting plate and place the mounting plate in the desired location.

Please note: Mounting plates on membrane roofs shall always be mounted with 4 mounts for the following products:

Walkways, on pitches of more than 18°

    End brackets for wire systems

Protective rail 1.1 m on walkways and roof ladders

Protective rail 1.1 m on low-leaning roof with membrane

Mounts (1) shall be of the same kind as used when laying the roofing felt. These are attached to load-bearing structures through the mounting holes in every corner.

Other products do not need a mount to load-bearing structures.

Cut a piece of membrane measuring 500 x 500 mm. Make a hole for the carriage bolt in the cut piece.

Weld the cut piece in the four attachment points (2) and 50 mm around the entire mounting plate.

Attach the bracket with nut M10 A2 washer and EPDM according to the directions for each product.

Slipguard for loose ladder M-001 Brackets, all-round brackets and anchor loops for smooth roofs M-085, Walkway M-203, Snow fence, Ridge and roof foot rail M-204, Roof ladder M-205, Snow stopper tube M-224, Guardrail 1,1m for bitumen membrane roofs M-236, Rail roof hatch and skylight M-251.

    Recommended tightening torque 10 Nm.

    Example bracket

Please note! Carefully check for a proper adhesion between the welded surfaces.

Mounting plate 400 x 400 mm welded, without mechanical bracket, for installation of roof safety on bitumen-based waterproofing membrane.

The waterproofing membrane must be tested in accordance with EN 13707:2004 + A2:2009 and satisfy the following requirements:

Tensile strength: min 300 N/50 mm EN 12311-1 Tear resistance: min 150 N EN 12310-1 Screw durability in extensions: min 500 N/50 mm EN 12317-1 Tear durability in extensions: min 125 N/50 mm EN 12316-1

    Mounting plate installed under membrane

Cut a piece of the membrane measuring 500 x 500 mm. (when renovating a roof, the mounting plate can be welded between existing membranes and new membranes. In that case, no extra cut of membrane measuring 500 x 500 mm is used).

Attach the carriage bolt in the intended hole in the mounting plate and weld the mounting plate in the middle of the cut piece of membrane.

Attach the protective cover onto the carriage bolt. Make a hole for the carriage bolt in the overlying membrane. Completely weld the membrane over the mounting plate.

Carefully check for a proper adhesion between the welded surfaces.

Remove the protective cover after welding.

Attach the bracket with nut M10 A2 washer and EPDM according to the directions for each product.

Slipguard for loose ladder M-001 Brackets, all-round brackets and anchor loops for smooth roofs M-085, Walkway M-203, Snow fence, Ridge and roof foot rail M-204, Roof ladder M-205, Snow stopper tube M-224, Guardrail 1.1 m for smooth, low-pitch roofs M-236, Rail 0.5 m around roof hatch and skylight M-251, CWL Safety System smooth roofs M-269, CWL Safety System brackets, smooth roofs M-284,

    Wire corners 15° – 90° M-291.

    Recommended tightening torque 10 Nm.

Mounting plate installed on the membrane

Attach the carriage bolt in the intended hole in the mounting plate and weld the mounting plate in the desired location.

    Cut a piece of membrane 800 x 1200 mm, 880 x 1100 mm, or else 1000 x 1000 mm.

Attach the protective cover onto the carriage bolt. Make a hole for the carriage bolt in the cut piece of membrane. Completely weld the piece of membrane over the mounting plate.

Carefully check for a proper adhesion between the welded

    surfaces.

Remove the protective cover after welding.
