Indonesia is one of the most bio-diverse places on earth with more animal, plant and coral species than any country.  

It also has over 232,000 homeless children. There 30,000 in Jakarta

Sole Men How it started…

UK’s Robert Epstone, Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak’s “Rotarian Of The Year, and Swiss Beat Schmid de Gruneck both Bali residents and members of SGI-Bali, a Global Buddhist Association for Peace, Culture and Education, are the SOLE MEN INDONESIA They are spending a year barefoot in solidarity with homeless children.

“we are NOW barefoot to highlight the poverty and suffering of the poorest children in Indonesia.”

“We have planned a series of barefoot walks in Indonesia and Australia and will not stop until we have raised our target of $1,000,000”

Children’s involvement with SOLE MEN

Children from orphanages, schools and villages will join the for short stretches of the SOLE MEN’s walks and the charity will raise additional money by Sponsors for every kilometre that the children complete

Members of the public are also encouraged to join the SOLE MEN at any part of their walks.

SOLE MEN will also be distributing food and booklets on children’s health and safety along their walks.

Who is helping them? Government agencies Homeless shelters Orphanages Outreach education programs Outreach health programs

All these agencies and projects are critically underfunded and cannot increase their capacity sufficiently to meet the scale of the problem

Raise $1,000,000 through a series of barefoot walks Support projects helping homeless children and education Provide healthcare literature for schools, orphanages and

outreach health and education projects

100% of money donated will be used for projects. All SOLE MEN events and administration is funded by

sponsorship.

How you can help…… Fundraise… Use your contacts! If a SOLE MEN Barefoot Walk is happening in your area , help with

logistics and fundraising and spread the word in your community Start your own Barefoot Walk or Golf Tournament and get sponsorship Go Barefoot for a day, a week, a month, or a year! Get sponsored! Have a SOLE MEN fundraising event with your friends or at your

business…. Every little counts! Sponsor a SOLE MEN event Spread the word through social media sites like Twitter and Facebook
