Over 30% of Sukup employees have been with thecompany for more than 10 years. That adds up tocenturies of experience you won’t find with any othergrain handling equipment manufacturer.

Eugene Sukup has been inducted into the Iowainventors Hall of Fame, where he joins the likes ofGeorge Washington Carver and John Atanasoff, theinventor of the digital computer. The innovative spiritthat earned Eugene that honor is what drives SukupManufacturing Company to be theleader in grain handling innovations. The company holds over 80 patentsthat have helped to improve graindrying and storage processes.

Over nearly 50 years, Eugene and his sons, Charlesand Steve, and their talented employees have grownSukup Manufacturing Company into the worldwideleader in drying, handling and storage equipment.

The Innovative Spirit of the American Farmer

Sukup Manufacturing Co. Headquarters, Sheffield, Iowa,USA. Over 450,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, housing welding robots (top left), computer-controlledlasers (middle), computer-controlled punching centers,CNC lathes and machining centers. Sukup is also hometo the most advanced bin production equipment in theindustry (below).

In 1962, Eugene Sukup, a young, innovative farmer, bought his first grain bin to dry and store shelledcorn. Unfortunately, he had problems, like crustingand hot spots. So, Eugene developed a hand-heldstirring device that solved the problems.

After selling only three units (for $29 each), hedetermined that, for the device to be successful, itneeded to be automatic. He came up with an automaticdesign, patented his idea and Sukup ManufacturingCompany was born.

Sukup Farm Bins - Strong, Innovative, Top-Quality

The larger manholeopening on Sukup Binsmeasures 20” x 35.5”.When open, the doorlays flat against the roof, eliminating the mess ofwater and soggy beeswings.

Roof rings are standardon all Sukup Bins 18’ andlarger. The exclusive roofring bracket with u-bolt(patent pending) addsstrength and rigidity tothe roof.

Sukup Farm Bins areavailable in sizes from15’ diameter, 3-rings to60’ diameter, 12-rings.

 Capacities to 118,000 bu.

Patented Sukup anchorbrackets are 22” high toextend above the plenumarea (US Patent #6,941,712),which reduces thestresses caused byvertical loads on thesidewall sheets at thebottom ring.

After looking at bins from the inside out fornearly 40 years, Sukup started building bins tocomplete our line of grain handling, drying andstorage equipment. We gathered input from bindealers and erectors and designed our bins fromscratch, unhindered by years of “we’ve always doneit that way.” We then invested in new bin manufacturingequipment that is the most advanced, most efficientand most accurate in the world.

The result is the most advanced, best-fitting binfrom the leader in grain drying, handling andstorage.

Sukup Bins were the first with a 5000 lb. roofstandard. They feature precision-engineered, 4” widecorrugated, high-strength- 50,000 psi yield strength,65,000 psi tensile strength - galvanized steel sidewallsheets to provide better vertical load carrying capacity.

When Sukup began building stirring machinesfor in-bin drying, we were surprised to learn howmuch difference there was in the drying rates ofdifferent brands of fans with the same motorhorsepower. We determined that for in-bin dryingto be successful, an excellent fan was needed.

So, we set out to design and build the best fanon the market. Today, Sukup is the leader in fans.We have the reputation of giving the highestairflow, along with quality and reliability. Justask our customers - performance has madeSukup fans #1.

- The Leader in Fans and Heaters

Axial Fans Patented, built-in venturi on 24” or larger axial

fans increases airflow. (US Patent #5,615,999)

Sukup pioneered the use of square end plates tomaintain accurate roundness of the housing andgive uniform support all around.

Sturdy, convenient handles on 24” and 28”fans make it easier to install and move fans.(US Patent #6,857,850)

 Two-year limited warranty.

 All Sukup fans feature all-galvanizedconstruction.

Centrifugal Fans 1750 RPM single inlet fans from 3 to 40 hp.

Dual inlet fans from 30 to 50 hp.

 Centrifugal fans offer quiet operation.

Sukup was the first in the industry to offeradjustable legs to allow easy leveling andsupport.

Exclusive lip on fans forms a tight air sealwith the transition.

Hi-Speed (3500 RPM) and in-line centrifugalfans are available for higher static pressureconditions found with small grains and talldepths.

Axial Heaters Starfire-type burners provide the critical gas and

air mixture necessary for higher efficiency andeven heat distribution.

Two-way adjustment on vaporizer allows operationover a wider range of outside temperatures.

Three-year warranty on solid state circuit board.

Centrifugal Heaters Special vanes obtain the critical gas and

air mixture necessary for efficient burning.

Large service door for easy access toburner area.

Three-year warranty on solid state circuit boards.

A heater can dramatically increase your dryingspeed. As shown below, you can dry 6.5 times fasterby adding 40˚ F. However, the bottom layers will be

overdried. The invention of the stirring machine solvedthis problem and made in-bin drying very successfuland popular.

Efficient In-Bin Drying - Sukup FastirTM

*Drying Ratio refers to how manytimes faster grain will dry withheat as compared to drying withnatural air.

The patented mechanicalreversing drive on theFastirTM (US Patent #5,570,954)

makes other stirringmachines with cable orchain drives obsolete.

Easy Operation, Higher Quality Grain

The Sukup Quad Metering RollSystem, Grain Cross-OverTM Systemand the QuadraTouchTM controls wereall presented AE50 Awards by theAmerican Society of Agricultural andBiological Engineers. The awardrecognizes outstanding engineeringinnovations in agriculture.

The Quad Metering Roll Systemmoves the hotter, drier grain next tothe inner wall down the column faster.

The process produces more evenmoisture content in dried grain, minimizes damage and maintainshigher test weights and overall quality.

Sukup QuadraTouchTM controls use advancedalgorithms and calculus to increase dryerefficiency and reduce large swings intemperature and discharge moisture.

The touchscreen isquick torespondand easyto operate.US Patent

Sukup Dryers Provide High-Capacity Drying

Cyclone Pneumatic Systems A Sukup Cyclone System gives you flexibility to

move grain to multiple bins and adapt to difficultsite layouts.

These systems are an ideal way to move grainfrom your portable dryer into storage bins.

 4”, 5” and 6” systems are available.

Sukup offers the most advanced velocitycompensator valve available.

Sukup Stacked Dryers featurethe patented Grain Cross-OverTM

system, which reduces variationin moisture content within thecolumns, as well as betweenthe two sides of the dryer.

Switching the grain fromone side of the dryer to theother balances the exposurethat each portion of thegrain has to cold fall winds.

The inner, hotter layer ofgrain in the top module be-comes the outer, coolergrain in the bottom module, which prevents the grainfrom over-drying and givesmore consistent moisturecontent.

Sukup Tower Dryersprovide fast, efficientdrying for large farmoperations andcommercial elevators.

 Heat/cool capacitiesrange from 1200bushel/hour to 7000bushel/hour with5 point removal.

 Sukup QuadraTouchTM

controls provide unmatch-ed dryer efficiency andmoisture content accuracy.
