ABOUT THE WALKThe Charity Walk for Peace is an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association – part of the UK’s oldest established Muslim community.

Inspired by the tenets of Islam, the Charity Walk for Peace aims to relieve suffering and serve mankind regardless of colour, creed or race. By bringing people together to help others it works to promote peace, engender greater understanding and promote goodwill amongst people from all walks of life.

Since its inception in 1985 the walk has been held at different venues across the UK with thousands participating each year. Over £4.2 million has been distributed to over 364 charities.

CHARITY CHAMPIONSOur volunteers are vital to the success of our charity work. Dedicated teams of volunteers are our social capital who contribute selflessly with their time, energy and enthusiasm to raise funds. We have more than 150 Charity Champions who collectively raise over £100,000 every year.

Our mission is to help society, to support charitable endeavours, to work to secure the common good, to demonstrate loyalty to country

and nation, and to defend the dignity of mankind.

All organisers are volunteers Every Penny raised goes to charityNo administration costs are deducted.

Moments from Charity Walk 2017

OUR INSPIRATIONOur community advocates peace, tolerance, love and understanding among followers of different faiths. Our motto is “Love for All Hatred for None”. Our volunteers work tirelessly to help the most vulnerable people.

“Serving humanity requires that a person does not rest until he has solved the problems of others and takes the weight of their burdens onto his own shoulders. It requires that a person’s heart is consumed by a love for others, whereby he cares not for his own comfort – but rather he cares only for the comfort of others.”

POPPY APPEAL COLLECTION 2017

BECOMING DONATION BENEFICIARIESAs a registered charity, or a small organisation which helps within the community, you may be eligible to become a beneficiary of funds. Please visit our website for more information or contact us directly.

There are many ways to get involved from volunteering to collect funds at shop fronts; tube stations; and in high streets to helping to organise various charity events throughout the year. All are welcome so drop us a line on our email address and we

can start working together to help those in need.

In 2017, AMEA launched a special Poppy Appeal campaign with the support of the British Legion.

The successful event paved the way for a nationwide effort to raise invaluable funds in support of our British armed forces.

We believe that we are obliged to be loyal to the country in which we live. More than 200 enthusiastic CWFP volunteers from all over the UK participated in this campaign and collectively raised a massive sum of £250,000.
