    Software Update Instructions for BT1 chassis Models

    BA and M board replacement

    For BA board installation (also refer to page 31 of CTV74 training manual)

    1. Format the USB device to Fat 32.2. Download the latest software for the Model in Reference Library.3. Unzip the software zip file and extract it to the root of the USB device.The zip file in Reference Library is a zipped zip file.Example:Extract E47938294-package_list_20120808_asura_2012080801_aav_ursc.zip.zip tothe USBFile on USB = package_list_20120808_asura_2012080801_aav_ursc.zip

    4. Replace the BA board5. Cycle power to M board

    Disconnect and Reconnect one of the following:a) Main power supply connector that goes to M and BA boards

    b) CN2501 connector on M board

    6. Insert the USB storage device into any USB port located on the side of the TV.7. With AC power cord disconnected, pressand holdthe power button on bottom front ofTV, plug in AC power cord and wait until amber LED and green LED flash simultaneouslybefore releasing the power button.8. If your USB drive has an indicator LED it should be flashing at this time.9. Wait at least 60 seconds for the LED lamps to change to a steady red power LED andslowly flashing timer LED

    CAUTION: DO NOT TURN OFF THE TV OR UNPLUG THE POWER CORD WHILE THEUPDATE IS IN PROGRESS. The TV will power off and then turn back on as part of theupdate.

    10. After approximately 8 minutes the screen will display a software update progressindication11. Allow this to continue until the TV cycles power and turns back on again12. Remove the USB storage device from the TV.13. The software has been successfully updated.

    Note:If USB does not start flashing in 30 sec, power may have been applied before step # 7.In this case, force TV to do a normal full boot by cycling power to M board, return to step # 5

    Checking USB:1) Format must be FAT32

    2) Software must be same version or newer version than software on board.3) The Zip file in Reference Library is a zipped zip file

    Example file on USB = package_list_20120808_asura_2012080801_aav_ursc.zip

    4. Replace the M board.5. Insert the USB storage device into any USB port located on the side of the TV.6. With AC power cord disconnected, pressand holdthe power button on bottom front ofTV, plug in AC power cord and wait until the red LED turns green7. Graphics will display asking if you would like to perform the software update. If thecustomers remote is still paired to the TV, press 1 to start the update. The update willautomatically start within 30 seconds if no commands are input.

    Once the software is loaded into the television, it will begin to install and displayUpdatingThe Power/Standby LED will be lit steadily red and the timer LED will light amberand flash slowly.After 10 minutes, TV restarts to complete the installation and initial setup screendisplays.

    7. Remove the USB storage device from the TV.8. The software has been successfully updated.9. If setup screen did not display, perform factory data reset. Settings > Privacy & safety

    > Factory data reset> Reset device

    Note:If USB does not start flashing in 30 sec, power may have been applied before step # 5.In this case, force TV to do a normal full boot by cycling power to the M board.1) Disconnect AC power;2) Disconnect and Reconnect one of the following:

    a) Main power supply connector that goes to M and BA boardsb) CN2501 connector on M board

    3) Return to step #5 and try again.
