Open Gardens – Further Information

Saturday 14th MayThe first garden to open will be St Abbs on the Shore Road near Ardyne Terrace. It will be open from 11am to 2pm.

Why not call in at the Coffee Morning in the Village Hall for refreshments before or after viewing this interesting garden or before you head off to see the ones higher up in Innellan?

The other gardens are in the Knockamillie Terrace area and will be well signposted. There are four gardens open in this area – Tigh-na-uilt at the beginning of the Terrace and Klaus, Avon Cottage and Resthaven at the far end.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to visit the garden at Innellan Primary School to see how the children are creating a vegetable garden and a wildlife area.

These gardens will be open from 2pm – 4pm.

Please note that all these gardens are on a hill, with steps and some steep inclines and so, unfortunately, are not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Your visit to the gardens is at your own risk.

Parking on Knockamillie Terrace is restricted so it is probably best to park near Innellan Church and walk up Knockamillie Road by the side of Innellan Primary School.

Jan Ferguson, local artist, will also have her studio and garden open to the public on Saturday 14th May (11am – 4pm), Wed 16th May (11am – 3pm) and Friday 20th May (11am – 3pm).

This is a more accessible garden for those with mobility problems.
