Domestic abuse – it’s your business (including the CIH Presidential Appeal)Millions of people experience domestic abuse every year and two women are killed by their partner or ex-partner every week. Around 300 housing organisations have made it their business by signing up to CIH’s Make a Stand campaign to provide support for people experiencing domestic abuse. Frank Mullane MBE set up Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse in April 2008 in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will – whose murders in 2003 prompted a huge inquiry exposing the difficulties families face when losing a loved one through domestic abuse. He’ll provide insights into his own experience both personal and professional as he discusses domestic homicide reviews and the importance of raising the status of the victim and professionals. Criminal exploitation and county lines

No one really knows how many young people across the country are being forced to take part, but The Children’s Commissioner estimates there are at least 46,000 children in England who are being exploited through child criminal exploitation, or ‘county lines’.
