Sparkling Party Punch

Graduations, weddings, and Father’s Day celebrations are happening all over town, and all the while the temperature keeps rising. Stay cool with this delicious and festive sparkling punch, refreshing for any occasion and perfect for kids and adults. Some of the ingredients may take a little effort to track down, but the results are well worth it. For dads, grads, brides, and anyone out there with something to celebrate, cheers to you!

1 12 oz. can Minute Maid limeade concentrate (it’s the best)1 2-liter bottle chilled seltzer, plain or flavored2 oz. raspberry or strawberry puree or syrup1 tsp. rosewater - optional, but very delicious

Handful of fresh, well-washed mint leaves

Next Neighborhood MeetingSeptember 4th, 7 p.m. in Room B, Colonial Oaks Park

COLONIAL GABLES TRIBUNEJune 2018 facebook.com/colonialgablessarasota twitter.com/cgha34232

Hi, neighbors! Big changes are underway and the newly re-elected board of officers needs your help choosing a new color scheme for our entrance signage. The membership agreed that the signage at our entrances needs some updating: a new design with new lettering, and a fresh new color palette for the entrance at Woodmont, with Hayden and the other entrances to follow. At the most recent Homeowners’ Association meeting, the membership favored a palette of shades of blue, so the board of officers has been hard at work selecting paint samples to present very soon on our Facebook page for selection by popular vote. We have narrowed the selection down to three possible palette choices to be applied to the stucco wall, its concrete cap, and the newly designed sign announcing Colonial Gables.

A volunteer is needed to deliver the newsletter to the 20 homes on Lakewood Drive. It’s quick and easy, and everyone is friendly.
