WCS
Stylie
Homecoming is right around the corner! So be prepared by being informed! First things first, floats mustbe built. Every class is in charge of creating an original work of art of movable art. Remember the fun theme is “Circus.” Includeclowns, tight ropes, or maybe a giant tent. Even though there isno sabotage, pick a good hiding spot ( just for fun ).
On Tuesday we all voted on the entire Senior Class forHomecoming Court. This election was to select the top five girlsand top five guys for their chance to at being Homecoming King and Queen of the big top! Next Wednesday you can look forwardto the “Candidates” game. Thursday Upperclassmen will vote forfavorite from the Court. The final judgement will be announced
on Friday at the Football game. Seniors, shine up your crownsand let’s see to whom Mr. Somerhalder & Miss Phox pass thetorch.
Before we can have fun at the game and dance we havePicnic Buddy day to look forward to. Making pumpkins, facepainting, winning giant bottles of pop, with little kids! Having connections with Upper and Lower School, Middle School andEarly Childhood, is something most schools can’t do, but weare just that amazing.
In Football, the Spartans will be trampling theThunderbirds. On October 1st, Collegiate will be battling it out
with Circle. We know the theme is Circus, will Joey O’Hara bedonning a leopard skin leotard as a tight rope walker?
Spartans, don’t forget to get formal either! It’s time toget dressed up for the dance. Get a date, or a group of yourhomies and head on over to the Hyatt. The fun starts at 8pmwith a live band, drinks, a CARICATURIST ( for real ) and thehandy dandy squirt bottle! Ticket money covers the Band, theplace, even the eggs for the egg toss game. For those of you onthe fence about going, look on the bright side, you don’t have todo anything but show up & make memories!

FOOTBALLPREVIEW
By Max Craddock.
The Homecoming Football
game this year will feature our very own Collegiate Spartansagainst the Circle Thunderbirds. You may beasking yourself “What is a Thunderbird?” According toWikipedia.org, a Thunderbirdis a “Legendary creature incertain Native Americanindigenous peoples’ history andculture.” It’s powers consist of
clouds being pulled together by clouds and lightening shooting out of it’s eyes when it blinks.
To go along with theirawesome mascot, Circle alsoboasts a pretty good footballteam. The Thunderbird go intothis game with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. They also havea 6’6, 290 pound lineman, Jordan Philips who recently
committed to the University of Oklahoma. However, Circle iscoming off a 23-21 loss toClearwater ( we beat week 1 ).
So what should you expect? A hard, physical contest, lots of off ense and daily announcements from Mr.Nesmith about the origin of origin of Circle’s mythological
mascot.
PAPER TWEET: BY JAKE BARRETT
Featuring Coach Fiegel .
Q: What is your favorite thing about Homecoming? Why do you love the Limbo?
A: My favorite part about Homecoming is the pie-eating contest without a doubt.
I love the Limbo because there are a lot of levels of sport, but limbo is a special event in itself.

FORTUNE TELLING
Horoscopes b Tara Kneller
Aries
21 March - 19 April
Damage caused by rage might cost you
around $250 this weekend. Curb your
tendencies to sabotage floats today.
Taurus
20 April - 20 May
The very thought of coming up with a
horoscope for you made me laugh. You may
be the most pathetic thing I've ever come
across - but DON'T BE SAD! You are on the
verge of a massive breakthrough.
Gemini
21 May - 21 June
Good fortune will stalk you like a mean
spirited T-Bird today and won't spread any of
his juicy fortune charm over you. Don't trust
little birdies, they're renowned liars.
CAncer
22 June - 22 July
Incitement is not a word you want to be
hearing today, so avoid any particularly
aggressive behavior. Wake up, wash your
face, change your pants.
Leo
23 July - 22 August
Controlling your situation may become more
difficult than you imagine when you're
trapped in the back of car full of clowns.
Malicious gossip may reach your ears this
week and cause a great deal of paranoia.
Virgo
23 August - 22 September
Normally today wouldn't cause you
any difficulties, but today might just
go against the norm. However, there
will be pain over the coming months.West Side Story, anyone?
Libra
23 September - 23
October
When aiming for greatness, set your
sights to "better than
greatness"...and when you fail you'll
at least be able to blame it on trying
too hard.
Scorpio 24 October- 21 November
You are metaphorically trapped in a
cave with a panther and a sound
system playing Michael Bolton's
greatest hits. What do you do?
Dress up for Celebrity Day!
Sagittarius
22 November - 21 Decemb
Find some candles, tonight will be
filled with darkness. To make
yourself feel beautiful, hug a tree, kiss a baby, read a classic, and th
put on the weirdest circus attire.
Capricorn
22 December - 19
January
Feeling bored lately? Your only
hope is to surrender to a first
grader who wants to paint you
face like an insane clown. Giv
in to the madness.
Aquarius
20 January - 1
February
Although danger is never far away
you may have an exhilarating time
the coming days. Your picnic budd
considers you their idol, forever.Remember that.
