DifferentialSteeringSystemDifferentialsteeringputsyouontheleadingedgeofproductivitybymaintainingpowertobothtrackswhileturning.Whenonetrackspeedsup,theotherslowsdownanequalamount.Maneuverability–especiallywithlargebladeloads–isimproved,aswellascycletimesinotherapplications.Greaterloadcapacity,powerandspeedcontrolarepossibleinsoftunderfootconditionsonsteepslopesbecausebothtracksarepoweredduringturns.Asingletillerbarcontrolsalldirectionalandspeedfunctionsforeaseofoperation.

Sinceitsground-breakingintroductionin1978,theCatelevatedsprocketundercarriagearrangementsallowoptimizedbalanceforbestpossibleperformanceineachapplication.Thisisafield-provendesignthatoffersoutstandingmachineperformanceandlongercomponentlife.

Groundandimplementshockloadsaretransferredtothemainframetoprotectfinaldrives,axlesandsteeringcomponentsfromharshimpactsforlongercomponentlife.

Theelevatedsprocketdesigngivestheoperatorexcellentsightlinestotheblade,sidesandbackofthemachine.However,machinecenterofgravityremainslow,offeringexcellentstability,balanceandtraction.

Thesuspendedundercarriagedesignabsorbsimpactloadstoreducetheshockloadstransferredtotheundercarriagebyupto50percentinuneventerrain.Thebogiesuspensionconformscloselytothegroundprovidingupto15percentmoregroundcontact,especiallyinhard,uneventerrain.Highertractionmeanslessslippage,betterbalance,anda smootherride.
