The Alamo Area Council in San Antonio, Texas, serves a 13-county area, impacting the Scouting program to more than 28,000 youth and 7,000 volunteer adults in South Texas. These counties include Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, La Salle, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson.
Events such as the 17th Annual Boy Scout Charity Golf Classic and its related net proceeds support Scouting programs through financial assistance to individual families so no youth is denied Scouting’s influence on the basis of financial need.
