2014 Earth Fair
“Make It Green In 2014!” at the 6th annual Earth Fair presented by Coulee Partners for Sustainability, the La Crosse Area Family YMCA, the La Crosse Public Library and the Earth Fair Committee at the EcoPark & Myrick Park on Sunday, April 27, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm! This FREE event will feature childrenʼs activities, live music and performances (including Hans Mayer!), and Grand Green Prizes! There will also be “green” vendor booths and farmersʼ market, eco presentations, interactive displays, and so much more!

This is the 6th Annual Earth Fair put on by Coulee Partners for Sustainability (CPS). CPS is a non-profit organization that formed in 2007 with the purpose of increasing environmental awareness in the Coulee Region through a variety of educational events. CPSʼs aim is to involve people of all ages to share and spread the knowledge of environmental issues and discuss ways in which we can better our society and create a sustainable community. and featured in the film "Gasland"

over the news.
Now, come and learn more about the environmental impacts of hydraulic fracturing
(commonly known as fracking) by the oil and
gas industry and the issues facing communities
where this practice is occurring, including in
Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and
Pennsylvania. This presentation will place a
special emphasis on the public health risks of
hydraulic fracturing.
Frac sand mining in Minnesota and Wisconsin — the local aspect of the hydraulic fracturing
process — will also be discussed at the event.

his signature slideshow about the importance of cities
and the negative effects of suburban sprawl.
Mr. Norquist is the former mayor of Milwaukee (1988-
2003) and the current CEO and President of the
Congress for the New Urbanism. CNU is the leading
organization promoting walkable, mixed-use
neighborhood development, sustainable communities,
and healthier living conditions.
