aPHR/PHR/SPHR CERTIFICATION PREPARATION SATURDAY MORNING CLASS This educational session is an instructor-led 33-hour, 11-week class designed to maximize learning opportunities as participants prepare for the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) aPHR, PHR, or SPHR certification exam using primarily the PHR/SPHR Professional in Human Resources Certification Deluxe Study Guide (ISBN 978-1-119-06813-6). This structured classroom setting will include in-depth discussions and group peer interactions as well as the review of example test questions. The aPHR/PHR/SPHR certification preparation class is ideal for those looking for a broad overview of all HR functions to increase HR knowledge while preparing for the aPHR, PHR, or SPHR certification exam. Our instructor is an expert in the HR field and can be an invaluable resource during certification preparation. INSTRUCTOR SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS Helene P. Schaefer, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is the Vice President of HResults, Inc. and brings more than 25+ years of progressive HR generalist union and non-union experience in multi-sized, multi-location, profit, non-profit and public organizations. Training experience includes teaching CHRA PHR/SPHR, CHRA Dual HRCI/SHRM, and HResults aPHR/PHR/SPHR professional certification preparation classes, HR-related workshops providing HR recertification credits, and HR Management undergraduate courses at the University of Baltimore. The HR Certification Institute has also invited the instructor twice to participate in the item-writing process for the development of HRCI exam questions.
~ Fall 2016 aPHR/PHR/SPHR Certification Preparation Class Testimonial ~ I have worked in the HR field for 8 years and had been considering sitting for my PHR exam for a while. I was overwhelmed at the amount of information and didn’t really know where to start. I have always focused primarily on recruitment…so I was hesitant about the other sections of the exam specifically regarding benefits, business management, and employee relations. Helene’s prep class was exactly what I needed to stay focused and on track. Helene provided a very thorough syllabus during the first class detailing how we would be breaking down each section week by week, including what was expected of students outside of class as far as reading chapters and studying on our own. Helene provided flashcards, weekly handouts, and recommended other sources we could use on our own to study. Participating in this class with a group of my peers who were all in the same boat really provided some extra encouragement and motivation. I was able to pass my PHR on the first try and I am so glad I took the HResults Inc. HR certification prep course and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in sitting for the PHR or SPHR exam!
