    CLASS SCHEDULE PLANNING HINTS

Planningyourclassschedule(alongwithanalternativeschedule or two), obtaining the necessary approval signatures (see Counseling, page 18, for details), clearing registration holds, etc., should be done well in advance of your assigned date in order to avoid last minute delays in your registration.

    • BEGIN PLANNING your class schedule with those courseswhich are the most critical for you to have or those whichare limited to one or two sections. Build the balance of yourschedule around these courses. Prepare several alternativeschedules in case your first choice(s) is closed. Also take intoconsideration such things as your transportation time to andfrom the campus, finding a place to park, travel time between classlocations, your job and break periods for meals and/or librarypreparation time.

    • DOUBLE-CHECK everything carefully. The college assumesno responsibility to adjust time conflicts which are the result of thestudent’s own error. The online registration system will catchmost time conflicts, but the final responsibility is yours. The timeyou invest in this type of planning will not only help to makeyour registration much easier but will also make your entiresemester more enjoyable and productive.
