MIDDLE SCHOOL, Wednesday 6:30-8PM HIGH SCHOOL, Sunday 6:30-8PM Core Values at a glance… HANGOUTS Community Night (On/Off Campus) We believe it’s hard to grow in your faith without authentic community. Plagued with academics, athletics, extra curriculars, sometimes it’s hard to put on the brakes and hit that refresh button. So, before we dive into any Gospel driven message, each month we want to start with a night that is designed for kids to simply be kids. We want to provide a place of belonging for those who already come to our Church and also those who have yet to know our community (Movie night, Paint ball, Color war, Nerf battles, Game night, etc.) Check calendar to see if it’s on or off site. CATECHESIS Catechetical Night Each semester there’s a specific catechetical pillar we use as a framework for preaching and teaching the faith. We have it set-up where a student will have gone through a semester centered on each pillar of the catechism, old testament, new testament, and missionary training. We want to ensure your child is not only equipped to remain Catholic in college, but transformed to be life-long missionary disciples of Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church. (Gather in the basement, A meal is provided, Play a game/activity, Listen to a talk, Have small group sharing) SERVICE/MISSION Mission Night (On/Off Campus) God is at work in our lives and constantly calls us to know, love and serve Him. We understand service isn’t done to simply make us feel good, but a response of faith. This night is to incorporate ourselves into the missionary dimension of the Church by serving the materially and spiritually poor. (Blessing bags for the homeless, Mission Arlington, etc.) Check calendar to see if it’s on or off site. ENCOUNTERING JESUS Encounter Night God is always trying to speak to us. Sometimes life goes by quickly and it’s easy to forget what we’ve done, hardly giving God the opportunity to speak to those instances in the month. Throughout the month we’ll have had nights involving great community, gospel driven teaching, and serving the poor in our community. This night is designed to hit the brakes and not “do” but “be,” and reflect on our month by offering it to God, praising Him for the opportunities and allowing Him the opportunity to speak to us. We believe that God is at work in our Parish and we want to foster fruitful opportunities to ENCOUNTER Him, GROW in His love, and SERVE His Church. Our nights each week will
intentionally hit on our core values: community, preaching/teaching the gospel, prayer nights, and serving the poor through mission.
