BARKER’S BYTES…. People say that it is nice to hear the youth speak about

their faith and journey in church. This Sunday you have the opportunity to

support FOUR of our youth as they come to make their CONFESSION OF

FAITH. Alysa, Kamarah, Kane and Macie will come forward this Sunday at

the end of WORSHIP to make their confession. I hope you will come for this

very important Mile Stone in their lives as we did for you and your children.

It is important to them and their journey in faith to make this confession and be

baptized on Easter Sunday morning at 10:30. Their growth in the future

depends on every last one of us and our willingness to guide them and lend

some direction along their pathway of faith.

We do not exist as Christians in a vacuum but rather we exist in a community

where we work together for the whole not just our agendas. So please come

the next two weeks and SHOW your SUPPORT for our the whole community

and the major decision that these four young people are making for Jesus

Christ.

See you all this Sunday,

-Pastor Steve

Maundy Thursday Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. in

the sanctuary.

On Good Friday we join with the community to have the

Journey of the Cross beginning at 12 Noon at Trinity

Episcopal Church and conclude at St. John’s Lutheran

Church about 3 p.m. The Walk will arrive at FCC about

12:55 pm. In addition, I hope you will all attend our Good

Friday Service at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Easter Sunrise Service will be at 6:30 a.m. in Kiwanis Park.

Bring your lawn chairs. Afterwards, you are free to go out

to breakfast and come to the church for Sunday School at

9:15 and Worship at 10:30. We look forward to seeing all

of you during the Lenten and Easter Celebration.

In observance of 24 hour prayer we will be in prayer from

8:00 p.m. March 25th through 8:00 pm. March 26th. I

encourage everyone to use the 24 hour time to pray often

for the sick, the homeless, and conflicts around the world.

Property reports several completed projects - ceiling with new lighting in common area outside parlor, and roof over this area. Kitchen ceiling with new lighting is

next. Several other projects on table and will be prioritized. Preparedness and Security continues to work on better outside lighting, and separating areas of church (i.e., if someone rents Fellowship Hall, they would be blocked from getting upstairs). Worship is needing assistance in planning Ole' Time Picnic at Cave, and Patriotic service. A copy of complete budget is available on bulletin board outside Pastor Steve's office and
