St. Anne CATHOLIC CHURCH
April 1/2, 2017
“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of
God?” JOHN 11:40
Many of us say that we believe in God. We go to church on Sunday. We volunteer for
events at our parish. But when life gets hard, the pressure is on, things aren’t going
our way, do we really believe, do we really put our trust in the Lord? When we live a
life of gratitude, being thankful for the gifts we have been given, we really do see
that God is providing all that we need.
Announcements
CRS Rice Bowl Reminder
What you give up for Lent changes lives! Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowls should
be returned to St. Anne Church on Palm Sunday, Apr. 9.
Easter Flowers
Each year we decorate the church with beautiful flowers for Easter. If you would like
to make a donation to our Easter Flower Fund in memory of a loved one, envelopes
are available on the table in the Commons Area. Please PRINT clearly and return
your envelope to the parish office no later than Noon on Mon., Apr. 10.
Bishop’s Annual Appeal
This year the Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) is blessed to have a very generous
anonymous donor who will match dollar for dollar any increase you will give this year
in your contribution beyond your contribution last year to the BAA. If you have already
made your pledge to this year’s BAA and you have increased your gift, the increase
will be matched dollar for dollar. If you are a new parishioner or a new donor to the
BAA at St. Anne Parish, your entire gift or fulfilled pledge over the course of this year
will be matched by an equal amount. This matching gift is a tremendous blessing to
our Diocese and should help us at St. Anne Parish to reach our target of $158,631.
To take advantage of these matching funds, your pledges and donations to the BAA
for 2017 will need to be made before Apr. 30, 2017.
Renewal of Time and Talent
In the springtime of the year we invite each of our parishioners to make a
commitment to give generously of their time and talent for the sake of the Church
and for the good of the whole community. Ministry directories and registration forms
can be found online at stannecsg.com/ministries.

Spotlight on Stewardship
Ministry Spotlight Children’s Liturgy of the Word
Children’s Liturgy of the Word volunteers present the
Gospel readings to children, ages 4 years old to 1st
grade, during the 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. weekend
Masses at St. Anne Church. The adult volunteer reads a
child-friendly version of the Bible that is provided. He/
she then leads an age-appropriate discussion, which can
include a small activity or coloring page. The children
love and receive so much from hearing the Gospel
readings on a child's level! If you are interested in being
a part of this ministry, please contact Kimberly Kaup in
the parish office at 706-561-8678/
[email protected] for more information.

other week to receive nutritious groceries and witness
educational presentations on health. FANN is open to
St. Anne parishioners or individuals who are members of
any Catholic organization in the Columbus Deanery. For
