St. Edward Church Children’s Choir

We hope the angelic voices of the children brought everyone joy. We would like to extend another invitation to all those interested in having their children participate in the children’s choir. Children will sing at the 5:00 pm mass every first Saturday of the month. Practices are held on Thursdays 5:30-6:30 pm in the CCD office. Friends & Fellowship The next free meal will be this Sunday, Nov. 26, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. La Escuela Pastoral will prepare the meal. This meal is for anyone in our area who needs a free meal or just some company and fellowship. Thanks to all our parish groups who help us in this good cause, including the committee. members.

Hospitality Sunday Please join us on Sunday, November 26th, after the 7:15, 8:30, and 10:00 a.m. Masses. Free coffee and donuts in the parish hall. Meet your fellow parishioners. Thank you to our Hospitality Committee for all their nice work and the Men’s Club who donates the donuts every month.

Thursdays Bible Study 9:30 a.m. Bible Study in the small Chapel (of the Church) We study the Sunday Readings. 7:30 p.m. Bible Study in class room #8 at St. Edward School. We started a new study on November 9th the “Panorama of The Old Testament” Everyone is welcome.

Attention! The Knights of Columbus will by holding their annual fundraiser for the mentally disabled on Saturday, December 3rd. Our Knights will be waiting outside the church with tootsie rolls and canisters to help raise money for SPRED in our diocese. Please be generous... What ever you do to the least of my brothers...

Christmas Giving Tree Name Tags The Christmas Giving Trees sponsored by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be in church and in the vestibule this weekend, November 25 & 26. Name tags of needy Newark children are hung for you to take and purchase a gift. The child’s gift wish is included as suggested purchases. Please wrap only new gifts. Bring them to Mass December 9 & 10 and place them on the altar during the Offertory of the Mass. Thank you and may God bless you.

Men's Club Sit Down and Takeout Crab Feed Tickets The Men's Club has sit down and takeout tickets for the Crab Feed, Saturday, December 9th. Tickets are $55 sit down or $45 takeout. Each takeout ticket will include approximately 1/2 of a bucket of crab, salad, and garlic bread. For takeout tickets please contact Andy Mascsak at 510-894-0865. For sit down tickets please contact Tom Neff at 510-284-7614. Come support the parish.
