FROM THE DESK OF FR. FALLON Hi Everyone! Hope you're gearing up for another great Thanksgiving! Can you believe it's this time of year already? We're going to change Thanksgiving Mass to 9 A.M. this year. Some of you are trying to get Tom Turkey ready to go in the morning, and we want to give you a little more time. Let's pray together on Thursday and give thanks! TODAY we're celebrating our parish patroness, St. Elizabeth of Hungary. The more I learn about her, I realize she is an amazing example of humility and kindness. We can learn a lot from this young royal, who cared more about her heavenly crown than her earthly one. Join us at 5pm today for the parish potluck in the cafeteria! Maybe invite someone who's been away for a while, or would benefit from some community! Peace, Fr. Fallon

“News Around Town”

Join the FUN, Join the COMMUNITY – Entries are now open!

New in 2017 is the Holiday Lights House Decorating Contest co-sponsored by Beautify Crestwood. To foster a little friendly competition between Crestwood’s four wards, residents are encouraged to light up our community for the holidays by decorating the outside of their homes. Residents are invited to cast a vote between December 1 and Dec. 16 for the best-decorated home in their ward. On December 18, we will announce the winners from each ward who will then compete for the grand prize of $500 and a trophy. The grand prize winner will be announced January 2, 2018. Residents can join the competition via Christmas in Crestwood’s Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/ChristmasinCrestwood/, online at http://www.cityofcrestwood.org/ or by picking up an entry form at City Hall. It’s Always Christmas in Crestwood! "Enough" is a regional ministry for women to rejuvenate their souls with worship, meditation, reflection, and community. Join us every 3rd Tuesday of the month (Nov 21) at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish in Crestwood (1420 S. Sappington Rd. Crestwood, MO) from 7:30 PM-9:00 PM. This month we will continue our journey through Proverbs 31.

COMING SOON!

Look for the Giving Tree in the lobby of the church beginning the weekends of November 18/19, November 25/26 & December 2/3. The tree will have ornaments with suggested gifts that will be taken to Circle of Concern in Valley Park . Please consider taking an ornament or two and returning the gift UNWRAPPED by the weekend of December 9/10 . This year we will be providing toys for children age 1-11 to be distributed during the year as birthday gifts. The Circle of Concern is also asking for winter hats, gloves and scarves for children, teens and adults. Blankets, afghans and fleece throws are also welcome to be handed out during the winter months. The ornaments on the tree are only suggestions, use your imagination or pick up an extra gift when you are buying for your family. Not a shopper??? Envelopes for cash donations and gift cards will also be on the tree. Suggestions for gift cards are Marshalls, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Walmart, Target, Quicktrip, Walgreens, movie theaters and restaurants. Don’t forget to purchase the gift cards through our SCRIP program! Please limit the gift cards to $25 or less. This is the fourth year that we are joining with Circle of Concern food pantry that provides, not only food, but other services for families in the area. Any questions, please call Jan Krumm 314-578-3329. For more information about Circle of Concern, please go to their website at www.circleofconcern.org. Thank you for your participation!
