St. Francis Prayer - Notebooking Page
The Peace Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

St. Francis’ Peace Prayer is a
beautiful prayer. This page has lift
flaps to compare the opposites in
prayer.
Add this activity to the child’s
notebooking / journal binders,
if they have one.

How to Construct the Notebook Page:
To make this notebooking page you will need:
• the printable pages - Choose color or black and white
• scissors
• tape or a glue stick
After you print out the 2 pages, cut out the two flaps on the second page.
After they are cut out, they can be folded down along the fold lines. The
“Where…” blocks can be cut into small flaps which are all connected on the
left side at the long vertical flap.
Line up the folded edge with the left edge of the box on the first page. You
can use glue to stick it down, but if you use tape be sure to also tape the top
and bottom of the flaps so it doesn't flip back.
Fold and tape/glue the ends of the St. Francis image over the ending of the
prayer on the opposite side of the page.
Use a 3-hole punch to make holes so they could add the child’s daily
journal/notebooking binder.
