PROVIDE YOUR FEEDBACK ON THE

BEACONS OF LIGHT PLAN!

The draft plan of Families of

Parishes, the first phase of the Bea-

on the Beacons of Light website. At

this point in the process, we have

been grouped with a total of five

parishes with two priests. This is a

work in progress, so please be sure

to visit BeaconsAOC.org before Wednesday, October 20, to study

the plan and provide your feed-

back in the comment box availa-

UPDATE ON RAILINGS FOR THE STEPS TO

THE FRONT OF CHURCH Know that we are acutely aware of

the need for railings at the steps leading to

the main doors of the church. They have

been on order, but, with labor and supply

shortages, it will probably be another five

weeks before they can be installed. If you

need any kind of help in the meantime, let us

know!

LOW-GLUTEN HOSTS AVAILABLE If you have a wheat allergy, stop the

gifts table in the back of church and pick up

a small white cross. When you come to

communion, show the Eucharistic Minister

the cross, and he or she will know to give you

a low-gluten host.

TWENTY-EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

ALL SOULS EVENINGSONG REMEMBRANCE November 2nd is marked in the Catholic Church as the Feast of All Souls Day,

which is set aside for us to remember all those who have gone to their eternal rest. At St.

Helen Parish, we celebrate this feast with an eveningsong prayer service in memory of

those who have gone on to eternal life in the past year. The eveningsong prayer ser-

vice is base on Night Prayer and the singing of Psalms. During the prayer service, we will

light a candle commemorating each loved one that has gone to their eternal home.

If a person's funeral was held through St. Helen Parish, they will automatically be

included. If you would like to remember a loved on who has died and did not have a funeral through St. Helen, and whose funeral was held between October 1, 2020 and

September 30, 2021, please contact Mary Heider at [email protected] or

937-254-6233 ext. 306 to have your loved one included in the prayer service.

"Receive their soul and present them to God, to God the most high!"
