Even with the Extraordinary

Year of Mercy behind us,

doors across our Diocese

remain open for you to

experience the peace, love,

and joy brought by

participating in the

sacrament of Reconciliation.

In addition to the regular

parish schedule, the sacrament of Reconciliation will be

available at parishes throughout the Diocese of Calgary all

the Wednesdays of Advent, from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

November 20th: Christ the King

Catholics celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation

because we recognise that sometimes we fail to do as we

ought and because we believe in God’s mercy and

forgiveness. The priest can help you and you can trust the

Holy Spirit to guide you. Even if you don’t know how you

can change your life, showing up makes you open to the

grace that the sacrament brings. The Diocese of Calgary

invites you to re-discover the meaning of the sacrament

of Reconciliation in your life. Action: Do you celebrate

the sacrament of Reconciliation regularly? If so, share

your positive experience with someone this week. If you

are afraid to go to Reconciliation, speak about your

reservations with a priest or someone you know who does

participate in the Sacrament.

FERTILITYCARE CENTER OF CALGARY

The Creighton Model FertilityCare System Practitioner education program will be held in Calgary with Phase I in April 2017 and Phase II

in October 2017. This allied health profession is not just a natural family planning system; certified Creighton Model practitioners teach

women to monitor and maintain their gynecologic and reproductive health. The CrMS provides comprehensive, professional services

through individualized follow-up, standardized teaching tools, and ongoing research. The CrMS is the first standardized system of the

menstrual and fertility cycle biomarkers, which strongly links and networks the ability to achieve or avoid pregnancy successfully. It is

based on 37 years of research by Dr. Thomas Hilgers, Ob/Gyn of the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. It is

versatile and effective at any stage of a woman’s reproductive life, and is the foundation in helping women treat various gynecological and

infertility issues. Post-secondary program completion is a pre-requisite to train as a FertilityCare Practitioner. For more information on

applying and tuition costs, please contact the FertilityCare Center of Calgary at 403-473-1522 or [email protected].

Stewardship

Reflection:

Feast of Our Lord Jesus

Christ, King of the

Universe

“….giving thanks to the

Father, who has made you

fit to share in the inheritance

of the holy ones in

light.” Colossians 1:12

God wants us to be

happy! Instead of looking at

the Ten Commandments as

being restrictive and telling

us what we can’t do, look at

them as guides for living a

joy-filled and peaceful

life. Most of our problems

arise when we put our own

needs first or spend most of

our time trying to acquire

“things”. Try putting God

first in all things

instead. http://archstl.org/

A priest was giving a lesson on the 23rd Psalm to a group of children. He noticed that Little Johnny seemed to be upset by the verse, “Surely, goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.” “What’s wrong, Johnny?” the priest asked. “Well,” replied Little Johnny, “I’m not worried about goodness and mercy, but I’m not sure I’d like Shirley following me around all the time.”
