OUR LADY OF FATIMA CELEBRATION All Portuguese people, their family and friends are invited to the Our Lady of Fatima Celebration. It will be held at Assumption Church in Ferndale on October 9, starting with a living Rosary at 9:45 a.m. and Mass following at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch. Anyone wishing to participate in the Rosary are welcome to join in. Lunch will be served at 12 noon at the Portuguese Hall, with an auction of various donated items immediately following. BLUE MASS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
12 NOON To celebrate the dedication and sacrifice of our first responders of the Eel River Valley area, St. Joseph Parish, Fortuna will have a noon mass, Thursday, Sept. 29 at St. Joseph Church. All responders are invited and all community members are encouraged to show our support for those among us who run into situations most of us run from. Lunch recep-tion to follow at Fortuna Veterans Hall.
RCIA— RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR
ADULTS Anyone interested in learning more about the Cath-olic Church, or who would like to join the Catholic Church, is invited to join our RCIA class. Classes will continue until the Easter Vigil when those wanting to will be received into the Church. CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION Registration for Confirmation has begun. Please pick up a registration form in the back of the Church and return it to the office with a copy of the child’s baptismal certificate. Children 12 years old and up may enroll. Classes will be on the first and second Monday of each month in the PAC from 6 to 7 p.m. First class will meet on MON-DAY, OCTOBER 3 IN THE CHURCH. There is a suggested donation of $50. For questions, please call the office at 725-1148.
YOUTH GROUP The Youth Group meets on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room at the PAC. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF TIME. Please call the office for more information. All are welcome to join us for fellowship and learning more about our faith.
WOMEN’S RETREAT Are you a woman seeking a morning of faith, fellow-ship and fun with other women in our Diocese?
