The quantity and quality of the talented and gifted people God has blessed this community with is awesome. I look forward to another gathering to be United in Prayerlater this summer. Our blessed Lord has blessed us with another inch of rain so that Little Flower garden will be very fruitful. The harvest has begun, and it is wonderful. We say goodbye to seminarians Joseph and Andrew this weekend. They have completed their stay with us and will be returning to the seminary to continue their studies for the priesthood. We are greatly thankful for their help and their presence in our parishes this summer. We wish them well in their studies and may our Lord bless them abundantly for their generosity and their willingness to answer his call to service in the Church. I will be on retreat and vacation for the next two weekends. I assure you of my prayers as I spend my retreat time at Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND. May you have a blessed week! Little Flower, St. Mary’s and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parishes extend our condolences to the family of Joshua Socha whose funeral was Wednesday, July 15 at Little Flower. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in the peace of Christ. July 19-25 is National Natural Family Planning Awareness Week! Natural Family Planning (NFP) methods represent authentic family planning. They can be used to both achieve and to postpone a pregnancy. NFP makes use of periodic abstinence …in order to space births or to limit the number of children when there is a serious reason to do so…this practice fosters in couples an attitude of respect and wonder in the face of human life, which is sacred. It also fosters profound respect for one’s spouse, which is necessary for…authentic intimacy. (Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan, U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, 2009, p. 20). Find out more about what Natural Family Planning can do for your marriage by visiting www.fargodiocese.org/nfp and check out the list of instructors near you! The Little Flower School Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, July 22 at 7:00 AM. The Wednesday Night Summer Hangout for Teens will continue Wednesday evenings at 8:00 PM in the parking lot behind Little Flower School for all teens entering 7th - 12th grades. Come and enjoy good food and fun. Hearing this Gospel, we can trust that God knows our love and good deeds, and that he will mercifully gather us into his kingdom. This week, please say a special prayer each day for the poor and forgotten in our parish. The St. Therese the Little Flower Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul will continue their group study, Lectio; Evangelization on July 23 at 7:00 PM on the second floor of Little Flower School. Everyone is welcome; you do not need to be a member to participate in our group studies. The Annual Little Flower Church Corn Feed scheduled for Sunday, August 2 at the Balta Dam Recreation Area had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 restrictions. Trinity Youth Camp invites campers to attend their final camp session this summer and discover what it means to BE a saint and how we are all called to BE saints! The last camp offered this year is July 22-26 at Pelican Lake near Bottineau. Register your camper (youth entering grades 4 - 8 in the fall) at: www.trinityyouthcampnd.com. STEWARDSHIP MOMENT “The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field…He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world,

the good seed the children of the kingdom.” - Matthew 13:24, 37-38 As children of God, we are all “good seeds”. We are blessed by God with the potential to accomplish much good in the world. We fulfill God’s plan when we spend time in prayer every day, use our skills to help others and share our financial gifts to help build God’s kingdom on earth. Through our example of gratitude and generosity we sow “good seeds” on earth and ultimately help each other get to Heaven!
