Feast Day Celebration was a success!!!

*INMAACC-November 16, 2016 at 6 pm at the Catholic Enrichment Center. The next class will be held on November 23, 2016.

Sign-up sheet and future class dates are located in the vestibule of the church.

*Social Concerns Ministry will conduct a food drive for Christmas baskets starting October 30TH to benefit clients of the CEC

and West Louisville Ministry who are in need. We will be collecting 2 different non-perishable food items each week. The

collection box will be in the back of church. Every couple of weeks we will have the food blessed to be multiplied for the coming

weeks.

*THANKSGIVING DAY MASS-Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. This will

be a joint celebration with St. Augustine Catholic Church.

***In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, St. Martin de Porres Parish office will be CLOSED on November 23 & 24,

2016. The office will re-open on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10 a.m.***

*Family Life Ministry’s New Year’s Eve Party will be on December 31, 2016. Tickets cost $15.00. See any Family Life

*2016 Catholic Campaign for Human Development Collection Today, our parish will take up a collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). CCHD was founded to

break the cycle of poverty in the United States by funding organizations that help individuals help themselves. With the tradition

of improving education, housing situations, and community economic development, CCHD continues to make a positive impact

in communities nationwide, and 25% of the collection stays in our Archdiocese to fight poverty in our local communities. Your

contribution will defend human dignity and reach out to those living on the margins. Please give to the CCHD Collection.

ARCHDIOCESE OF LOUISVILLE’S OFFICE OF MULTICULTURAL MINISTRY NEWS *6th Annual Heroes of Hope Awards Luncheon-Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 11:30 am at the Catholic Enrichment Center.

This event is designed to provide a platform that honors individuals, agencies, and businesses in our community for their

contributions to, and in support of youth development, family empowerment, the Archdiocese of Louisville’s Office of

Multicultural Ministry and its Catholic Enrichment Center. Mr. Shaun A. Wimberly, Sr., Attorney at Law, of St. Martin de Porres

Catholic Church {Social Concerns} is one of our recipients this year. We celebrate him and the many gifts that he unselfishly

shares. Tickets $30 per person.

*30th Annual African American Catholic Leadership Awards nomination forms have been distributed at SMdP Parish office,

and in the vestibule of the church. Adult & youth nominations are being taken through November 29, 2016.
