THE WEEK AHEAD
St. Mary Picnic Committee is asking for donations to
help make this year’s picnic a success. If you are able
to help us with any of the items listed below, please
bring them to the Parish Office or call Steve Loos at
254.258.0879 to make arrangements for pick-up.
Thank you for your support.
Items needed:
Toys, stuffed animals, pantry items, 2L bottles of
soda, wine, bingo prizes, silent and live auction items.
Knights of Columbus 3444 and KJT Society#114
will host a Fish Fry Dinner from 5p - 7p
at the KC Hall - Temple.
Cost is $9 / plate of 2 boneless fillets, 2 sides and a
drink. (Baked fish is available) Child’s plate - $6.
Desserts will be provided by the American Heritage
Girls and Boys Scouts for an additional donation.
Hospitality on March 9th and March 10th
will be sponsored by the Choir. Please join us
to learn more about the parish Music Ministry.

IMPORTANT EVENTS & DATES TO REMEMBER
Shoe Drive - Jan. 28 - Mar. 28 We are conducting a shoe drive fundraiser for the
longevity of the school. St. Mary’s will earn funds based
on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used or
new shoes collected.
Walk for Education T-Shirt Designer Contest All student are invited to design a t-shirt for our Walking
for Education walkathon. Submissions are due to the
office no later than Thursday, March 7, 2019. All
correctly submitted designs will be voted on Friday,
March 8, 2019.
Second Annual Holy Mary Crawfish Boil Join us Sat. March 30 at 4pm for our 2nd Annual
Crawfish Boil to support Holy Trinity and St. Mary
Catholic Schools. This event is hosted by the Knights of
Columbus #3444 and will be held at the KC Hall in
Temple. Cost $20 per ticket. RSVP by March 30, 2019

Cedarbrake Retreat Center
March 6 - Ash Wednesday Retreat
9:30am - 2:00pm
Lent is a time to follow Christ even more interiorly as
He shows us the way to love His Father’s will. This day
will include talks lead by Fr. Albert Haase, Brian Egan
and Beverly Collin, Mass and distribution of ashes.
Cost of $40 includes lunch.
March 8 - 10 - Silent Lenten Retreat
The Silent Lenten Retreat will be at Cedarbrake,
March 8 - 10. Mass will be celebrated Sat. and Sun.
Spiritual direction will be offered. Take advantage of
the quiet as you enter into the Lenten season of
preparation. Cost is $210. All rooms are private.
March 26 - A Lenten Journey through the Eyes of
Mary, 9:00am - 2:30pm
This Lenten Day of Reflection will be hosted by Fr.
John Guzaldo of St. Luke’s in Temple. The day will
include a Rosary. Cost of $40.00 includes lunch.
April 18 - 19 Holy Thursday & Good Friday
Thursday, 4:00pm - Friday 3:00pm
Come & pray on two of the most sacred days of the
year. A silent retreat begins Thurs., the conference,
meal and Mass of the Lord’s Supper. Fri. starts with a
conference, Stations of the Cross & concludes with
Good Friday liturgy. Cost for overnight retreat $120 for
private room, $85/person for shared room & $55 for
commuter.
UNPLANNED ~ Movie Release Date: March 29, 2019 As one of the youngest Planned Parenthood clinic
directors in the nation, Abby Johnson was involved in
upwards of 22,000 abortions and counseled countless
women on their reproductive choices. Her passion
surrounding a woman's right to choose led her to
become a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood,
fighting for the cause she so deeply believed in. Until the
day she saw something that changed everything.

It is time again to order your Easter Lily in honor or in
memory of a loved one. To order please fill out an
Easter Flower envelope located at each entrance of the
church. Envelopes can be turned in to the Parish office
or in an offertory basket at any mass. Cost per Lily is
$15.00. Orders are Due by March 25th.

The Temple KJT Society #114 will hold it’s monthly
business meeting at St. Mary in the Regina Caeli
Room. Anyone interested in joining the society is
