PASTORAL LEADER’S NOTES Dear Parishioners,
Today we gather on this Palm Sunday weekend to begin HOLY WEEK — a week we enter with reverence, a week of demands that we embrace with delight, a week to celebrate its many rituals with all the care, devotion and energy they deserve.
To celebrate Holy Week is to celebrate who we have become through Christ’s paschal mystery—His life, death and resurrection. It is a time for us to suspend regular business and give our fullest attention to ALL the details that make up this holiest of weeks. Make plans today to bring your family and join us for these Holy Week rituals starting at
7:00pm in Omro on Holy Thursday with our Eucharistic procession to Winneconne,
continuing through Good Friday at 1:00pm in Winneconne and 6:00pm in Omro and culminating with the
Easter Vigil in Winneconne on Saturday at 8:00pm and Mass at 7:30am and 9:00am in Omro and 11:00am in Winneconne
on Easter Sunday!
The keeping of these days is what makes us Christian and even more, what makes us CHURCH. Do things differently at home next week. Fast, wait, be quiet and pray. If we do these Holy Week days well, little by little we grow in holiness and are transformed into the very likeness of Jesus Christ. My hope is that we can walk these days together and make this
our best Holy Week ever!
Sr. Pam

STEWARDSHIP—A WAY OF LIFE! Adopt A Family- Fish Fry Style
THANK YOU to all who made this outreach a great success! To those who delivered meals
To those who donated financially so all meals delivered were paid for and For those who helped put the meals together for delivery!
To follow is a summary of this Lenten outreach: $360 in anonymous donations was received
13 Delivers - some did one fish fry, others did two, and yet others delivered meals for all three fish fries! 47 meals were delivered to the homebound and care givers that live with them.
Stewardship is a way of life where both the receiver and giver receive God’s grace and goodness.
Here is some feedback received that demonstrates this truth:
“I wanted to let you know that it (delivery) went well. In an amazing "God moment" we knew the couple from sitting close to them on some Saturday evening Masses. In fact, we shared a pew with her and I was going to ask her where her husband has been because we haven't seen him in a while. It was the highlight of our family's day!"

Bishop’s Appeal 2018 Embracing A Life of Discipleship
Pope Francis reminds us that we can go out to every man and woman, bringing the goodness and tenderness of God. We do this when we visit the sick, care for the afflicted, and inspire others in their faith. Through the Bishop’s Appeal, we are Embracing a Life of Discipleship. This year our goal is set for $34,059 and we have collected $16,410. Please consider giving to the Bishop’s Appeal.

All grades along with parents
Dear Parents: The end of the 2017-2018 Faith Formation year is coming quickly. Thank you for sharing your children with us and committing to helping your children grow in faith. The church is not a substitute for the committed love, daily sacrifice, and hard work of parents in caring for their children. But we are here to support families in the very important vocation of parenthood. As we move into the season of Easter, consider how you will “rise again” and help your children gain a better understanding of how much God loves them….through your actions, words and prayer. LOVE is key, HOPE helps us begin again when we fall short, and FAITH is what keeps us moving towards the Kingdom of God. Throughout Easter continue to grow in virtue because virtuous living brings more peace and joy into our lives. Will it be patience, honesty, grace, compassion, forgiveness, self-sacrifice? What ever it is, invite God to walk with you and may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding be with you (Philippians 4:7).
