It was wonderful to host the Relics of St. Padre Pio last
Sunday here! Thanks to all who came to venerate them
and all who helped with this graced event…
We’ve celebrated All Saints and All Souls Days this
weekend, and welcomed Middle School youth for the
“See the See” gathering! On Sunday, Nov. 3rd, Bishop
John will celebrate the 10:30 a.m.. Mass with members
of the Equestrian Order present.
This week on Wednesday, Nov. 6th we’ll welcome Bishop
Garland as our speaker for another “Witness to Hope”
evening at 6:30 p.m. in our Parish Hall. As usual, we’ll
provide a main entrée and beverages, and welcome your
sharing a dish, salad, or dessert for the potluck dinner.
It should be an enjoyable and enriching evening
together! Our Bible Study on Acts & Evangelization will
resume next Wednesday, Nov. 13th…
Coming up on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 6:30 p.m. will be
another “Ignite” evening! Come for a potluck supper in
our Hall, followed by Adoration, praise in song, Night
Prayer and Benediction in the Chapel… Please sign up
on the bulletin board or call our Office so we can have
adequate main entrée. Come!

At that time, Jesus came to Jericho and intended to pass
through the town.
Now a man there named Zacchaeus, who was a chief tax
collector and also a wealthy man, was seeking to see who
Jesus was; but he could not see him because of the crowd,
for he was short in stature.
So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to see
Jesus, who was about to pass that way.
When he reached the place, Jesus looked up and said,
"Zacchaeus, come down quickly,
for today I must stay at your house."
And he came down quickly and received him with joy.
When they all saw this, they began to grumble, saying,
"He has gone to stay at the house of a sinner."
But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord,
"Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I shall give to the poor,
and if I have extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it
four times over."
And Jesus said to him,
"Today salvation has come to this house because this man
too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has
come to seek and to save what was lost."

A retreat put on by young people for young people. Youth Encounter is a system to build Christian Community among the youth, a community that offers support, growth in faith, and encouragement to become a positive influence in their environment. It is a retreat that occurs once with a monthly follow-up. Candidates must be 16 years old or second semester sophomore. Through a gracious donation, as a result of the 2018 Harvest Auction, the 8th Grade Students at FMCA experienced a VIP Historical Tour of St. Peter Cathedral with Monsignor Michael Steber and Dr. Russ Magnaghi. What an incredible opportunity for our students to learn and explore local, Catholic history through the incredible stories told by Dr. Magnaghi. Thank you to all parties who made this a possibility. World Medical Association reaffirms firm opposition to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide Editor’s note. The following was adopted by the 70th World Medical Association Assembly, Tbilisi, Georgia, October 27, 2019. 1.The WMA reiterates its strong commitment to the principles of medical ethics and that utmost respect has to be maintained for human life. Therefore, the WMA is firmly opposed to euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. 2. For the purpose of this declaration, euthanasia is defined as a physician deliberately administering a lethal substance or carrying out an intervention to cause the death of a patient with decision-making capacity at the patient’s own voluntary request. Physician-assisted suicide refers to cases in which, at the voluntary request of a patient with decision-making capacity, a physician deliberate-ly enables a patient to end his or her own life by prescribing or providing medical substances with intent to bring about death. 3. No physician should be forced to participate in euthanasia or assisted suicide, nor should any physician be obliged to make referral decisions to this end. 4. Separately, the physician who respects the basic right of the patient to decline medical treatment does not act unethically in forgoing or withholding unwanted care, even if respecting such a wish results in the death of the patient. —National Right to Life News Today, October 28
