Material Required:
Old newspaper, water, a container, mixer, two plastic sheets, water colour
and a roller pin.
Procedure:
Tear up your scrap paper into small ( about one inch) pieces and soak it in warm
water in a container.
After 2-3 days, take out the paper bits and blend it in blender or make smooth pulp.
Add water colour in it of your own choice for colourful sheet.
Drain extra water from the pulp using strainer.
Place the plastic sheet on a flat surface
Pour your pulp mixture on it and spread the pulp well. Now, cover it with another
plastic Sheet.
Take a roller pin and roll over it until it is thin like a chapatti.
Remove the above sheet and keep it to dry.
Do not disturb the paper until it is totally dry.
Your handmade sheet is ready. Now you make greeting card and attach in your port
folio.

4. Experiment
Collect various types of seeds available in your kitchen like grams, white
chick peas, moong daal, mustard seeds, garlic etc. (at least 5 types) and sow
them in different handmade pots.
Follow these instructions:-
1. Make the pots from waste material like plastic jars or bottles.
2. Decorate the pots by your own.
3. Label each pot with seed Name and Date of planted.
4. Pour the left over water after washing rice, daal, vegetables etc. for better
growth of plant as it will work as manure.
5. Note the duration of germination of each seed from a seed to a plant.
6. Write down at least 5 importance of each plant.
Observe the germination process and fill this chart.
