mismo en la parroquia, aquí hay una actualización. Ha tomado bastante tiempo para tomar una decisión porque este es un

nuevo concepto para el departamento de cementerio, y no hay Procedimiento en la Arquidiócesis. Finalmente se dirigió todo el camino al

Arzobispo que lo puso en la agenda para el Consejo del Se decidió que sería mejor construir un columbario en el antiguo cementerio

de Santo Tomás de Aquino cerca de la Escuela Villanova. Así que será con-struido y mantenido en Ojai, pero la Parroquia no estará involucrada en su

"carrera complicada. Muchas gracias a Tom Odel que pasó Tiempo considerable en su posibilidad. (Un columbario es un espacio bendito

FROM FATHER TOM If you have heard that St. Thomas Aquinas Parish has spent the past months attempting to get permission to have a columbarium right here at the parish, here is an update. It has taken quite some time to get a decision because this is a new con-cept for the cemetery department, and there is no written procedure at the Archdiocese. Finally it went all of the way to the Archbishop who put it on the agenda for the Priest’s Council. It was decided that it would be best to build a columbarium at the old St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery near Villanova School. So it will be built and main-tained in Ojai, but the Parish will not be involved in its’ complicated running. Many thanks to Tom Odle who spent considerable time looking into its’ possi-bility. (A columbarium is a blessed space in which to place cremated re-mains). All of the good Lord’s blessings. The safety of your children is often entrusted to other drivers – bus drivers, family members, friends’ parents, coaches – and parents should be aware of who is in charge of transportation. Although you cannot control everything, you can teach your children how to ride in another person’s vehicle. Teach kids to always wear seatbelts, and avoid distracting behavior that will take the driver’s attention away from the road. Ask your school about their policies and the require-ments for those who may be in charge of transportation.
