The Stage Color 1200 color system (1) uses three basiccolors, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, combined to produce aninfinite number of hues. However, it also has a fourth disc,Amber in color (2), with gradual insertion.The combination of CMY and Amber produces a strikinglynew range of pastel shades that systems based on just threecolors are unable to provide; the answer to the most dis-criminating lighting designers’ prayers.

This exclusive color system is completed byvarious special effects (3), such as the concentrictwin-colored beam and ultraviolet light.

The highly innovative, effective variablefrost effect (4) offers complete gradualvariation, allowing a spectacular transi-tion through the various diffusion levels,down to a very wide diffusion angle.

Gradual variable Frost

The image projection system uses two separate discs (5) which can be used in combination,one for the static gobos and the other for rotating gobos at adjustable speed, with indexed po-sitioning through 540° so that a given effect can be repeated on a bank of several luminaires.The gobos are inter-changeable, with the option of the various types: in metal or glass, colorand high-definition photographic. For other graphic combinations, the rotating prisms (6)can be overlapped with the gobos: the 4-way prism, the oscillating effect prism, the 5-faceprism and the 3d effect prism. Like the gobos, the prisms rotate in both directions atadjustable speed, and they also have the extremely useful indexed positioning through 540°.

A multitude of graphic capabilitiesAmongst its special effects,Stage Zoom 1200 offers the variablespeed iris (7) for opening and closing thebeam, the mechanical dimmer (8) toreduce light output and for instantaneousbeam stoppage, and the strobe effect (8)with frequency adjustable from 1 to 11flashes per second.

One of the most useful exclusive featuresClay Paky offers with the Stage Lineis the moving body lock operated by justpressing two buttons.This device hugely simplifies all handlingand transport operations, finally doingaway with troublesome, risky movementof the uminaire head.

Stage Color 1200 and Stage Zoom 1200 areequipped as standard with electronic ballast,allowing a considerable reduction in luminaireweights, especially useful in mobile applica-tions. Conventional electromagnetic ballast,more popular in permanent installations, isavailable on request.

The new, powerful HMI 1200 W/S discharge lamp is con-siderably smaller in size than the conventional HMI 1200from which it derives, while retaining its extraordinary lev-els of professionalism, reliability, light output and colourtemperature constancy over time.

Movements (Pan 450°, Tilt 252°)are exceptionally wide and smooth,with microstepping resolutionselectable between 8 or 16 bit atthe flick of a switch.

The automatic repositioning of the moving body afterchance or accidental movements is another extremelyconvenient feature; the operator no longer has to repeatthe time-consuming, irksome alignment procedure allover again.

Automatic repositioning

To speed up installation on supporting struc-tures, luminaires are supplied complete witha base plate and two clamp fixing brackets,designed for the use of standard connectionsystems.

Quick mounting plate

The lamp can be switched on or off with control directlyfrom the desk. This function can be set or disabled using aswitch on the luminaire, so it can be eliminated if notdesired, even temporarily.
