The Sun breathes life into our world. Without it we would not exist. But the ultraviolet rays(UV rays) that come from it can be harmful to us. You will soon be on your summerholidays and hopefully we will have plenty of sunshine but you must stay safe in the sun.

Sunburn is very nice / painful. Getting sunburnt is good / bad for you.When you go out in bright sunshine, you should put on ice cream /sun cream. You should apply your cream regularly particularly between10am and 4pm. Remember to apply it after watching TV / swimming.If you are going to be out for a long time it might be a good idea towear a coat / baseball cap. If it is really bright you should wearsunglasses / reading glasses. Never look at the sun directly!Take frequent breaks from the sun by going indoors or moving intothe shade. Drink plenty of coffee / water when it is hot outside.The hotter it is the more you sweat and so you will lose the hair / fluidthat your body needs to work properly. This is also true if you arerunning around in the sun or playing games like snooker / football.

living creatures (Aliens!) on your planet what would theylook like? Here are some thoughts to get you thinking!
If your planet is like the Moon and has very low gravity...then nothing is heavy because there’s nothing to pull things down.so your creatures may be very large like dinosaurs.or has every creature got wings?
If your planet has very high gravity then everything is heavy...some creatures are flattened by their own weightsome need lots of legs to carry their own weight.Things fall fast and if something falls on you it hurts!So creatures might have armoured shells to protect them.
If your planet has a close, bright star...then it is always bright, hot and dry.Creatures might have scaly skin toprotect them from the sun’s rays.Some creatures may havebuilt in sunshades!
If your planet is violent...It might be raining meteors. Creaturesneed thick shells to protect them.
