TOUR REPORT Ruth Rosangpuii Lecturer

A 5 day Capacity Building of Key Resource Persons on the use of Resource package for ECCE

was held at NCERT, New Delhi from 24th -28th September 2018. Ms. Ruth Rosangpuii, Lecturer TE

SCERT, Ms. V.Lalliansangi Lecturer and Mr. HP Lalremtluanga Lecturer DIET Lunglei were deputed

to attend the programme.

A resource package for ECCE was developed by the NCERT to create awareness about the

concept and importance of ECCE for the general public. The programme focuses on how to utilize the

resource package for awareness generation and stresses on the importance of proper linkage be-

tween preschool and primary school as this is the problem faced by all the states in the country. The

programme stressed on the fact that ECCE should be given priority as it is a school readiness pro-

gramme for the foundation of learning and that without quality preschool education, quality educa-

tion and UEE cannot be fulfilled.
